4.1 Power System Installation: Frequent Issues When installing the chemical power system, the first challenge was moving the engine. The engine was large and heavy, and it took all of Lín Xuān’s and ROB1’s might to shift it to the designated position. While securing the engine, Lín Xuān discovered that the pre-drilled bolt holes didn’t align. He stomped his foot in frustration, "What’s going on? Quantum Spirit, is there a problem with your design?" After a quick scan and analysis, Quantum Spirit responded, "There was slight deformation in the material during processing. A minor adjustment is sufficient." Lín Xuān had no choice but to hold the tools and gradually enlarge the holes and polish them, working until his back ached. Once the engine was finally secured, when connecting the fuel pipes, another pipe was found to be too short. He couldn’t help but complain, "One problem after another, I’m really fed up!" Finally, with ROB1’s assistance, they found a discarded section of metal pipe. After cutting and welding, the connection was finally completed. During this process, Lín Xuān deeply understood the complexity of technological manufacturing. A small deviation required a significant amount of time and effort to resolve. As he worked, he pondered, "This technology business truly allows no room for carelessness. Every data point, every detail must be precise." He also gained a deeper understanding of Quantum Spirit’s capabilities. Had it not been for Quantum Spirit’s ability to quickly analyze the root of the problem, he might not have known how to solve these issues at all. When the power system installation was finally complete, he breathed a sigh of relief, "It’s finally done. I hope this engine doesn’t fail us later on!"
4.2 Navigation System Debugging: Constant Setbacks The spaceship’s navigation system was installed by fixing the inertial navigation device in a suitable position on the hull and connecting various sensors and control wires. Lín Xuān operated with complete concentration, while ROB1 handed him tools and helped secure the wires. During the initial debugging, the data on the screen flickered wildly, unable to stabilize. "How can this be? The wiring is all connected properly!" Lín Xuān frowned, repeatedly checking the wires, agitated like an ant on a hot pan. After Quantum Spirit intervened to check, it discovered that a sensor’s calibration parameter was incorrect. Lín Xuān recalibrated according to Quantum Spirit’s instructions, but as soon as he finished, a new problem arose: the navigation system couldn't communicate with the spaceship’s control system. He helplessly patted his head, "Is this navigation system determined to fight with me?" After some troubleshooting, it turned out a pin at the interface was bent. After straightening it, communication was finally restored, and Lín Xuān breathed a sigh of relief. Facing these problems, Lín Xuān felt a sense of frustration, but he didn’t give up. He kept telling himself, "No matter how many difficulties, they must be solved one by one. I cannot be intimidated by these problems." During the debugging process, he also gradually understood the importance of the navigation system for the spaceship, much like the importance of eyes to a person. Without accurate navigation, they would be unable to travel in space. When the navigation system was finally debugged successfully, he excitedly told ROB1, "Look, we’ve overcome another hurdle! We’re one step closer to success!"
4.3 Radiation Shielding Layer Installation: Meticulous Care The installation of the radiation shielding layer required extreme meticulousness. A composite sandwich layer was formed by combining 5mm lead glass dismantled from the CT room, takeout tin foil boxes, and refrigerator polyurethane foam. These were stacked layer by layer in a specific order and fixed with a special metal frame. The lead glass was thick and heavy, and Lín Xuān and ROB1 handled it with great care, afraid of bumping it. When installing the metal frame, a screw just wouldn’t go in. Lín Xuān applied too much force, and the screwdriver slipped, almost puncturing his hand. "This darn screw, is it deliberately provoking me?" he muttered. Upon close inspection, he discovered debris in the screw hole. After cleaning it out, the screw was finally tightened successfully. After fixing each layer of material, Lín Xuān had to use an instrument to test the adhesion, ensuring there were no gaps, as this radiation shielding layer was crucial for their survival in space. While laying the radiation shielding layer, Lín Xuān was filled with a sense of reverence. He knew that in space, radiation was a deadly threat, and this shielding layer was their lifeline. Every action he took was exceptionally careful, not daring to be the least bit careless. As he worked, he pondered the close connection between technology and survival, "Without this scientific knowledge, we would have no idea how to resist radiation. Technology is truly our reliance for survival in desperate situations!" When the radiation shielding layer was finally laid, he breathed a sigh of relief, quietly praying that the shielding layer would work and protect them in space.
4.4 Centrifugal Gravity Cabin Assembly: Parameter Competition The centrifugal gravity cabin was assembled by welding three shared bicycle wheel hubs into an equilateral triangle frame, which was then installed in a specific internal position of the spaceship. A washing machine motor was connected as the drive unit, and a mobile phone gyroscope chip was used to build a PID control system to achieve precise control over the gravity cabin’s rotational speed and acceleration. When welding the wheel hubs, the welding points were persistently unstable due to the special material. Lín Xuān repeatedly adjusted the welding parameters until success was finally achieved. During the debugging of the gravity cabin, the motor speed was unstable, causing the simulated gravity to fluctuate. "Why is this motor acting so erratic!" Lín Xuān complained to ROB1 while adjusting parameters. After multiple adjustments to the PID parameters and replacing a motor component, the gravity cabin could finally stably produce a continuous acceleration of 0.3g. Throughout this process, Lín Xuān deeply felt the ingenuity of technology. Seemingly simple components, through scientific combination and control, could achieve complex functions. He continuously tried and adjusted, summarizing experience from failures, and gradually mastered the debugging methods for the PID control system. He also realized that in technological manufacturing, precise parameter adjustment is crucial. Every tiny change can affect the performance of the entire system. When the centrifugal gravity cabin was finally debugged successfully, he jumped up excitedly, "Fantastic! Now we don’t have to worry about the problem of weightlessness in space!"
