Kohoshi Elementary School.
Ishidō Miring led Reidō Hikaru here. Not long ago, Ishidō Miring had encountered Reidō Hikaru, who had just returned to town, in Kohoshi Town. The two of them caught up properly first.
"Principal Shirai, good day," Reidō Hikaru greeted Principal Shirai, who was watering flowers by the entrance, while dragging his luggage.
"Oh, it's Little Gō. You've grown so tall," Principal Shirai nodded before continuing to water the flowers.
Along the way, Ishidō Miring had already explained to Reidō Hikaru that the Galaxy Shrine had been burned down, and Principal Shirai had lent the music room of Kohoshi Elementary School to Reidō Hikaru's grandfather, Raidō Shūshin, to be used as a temporary Galaxy Shrine. Therefore, Reidō Hikaru came directly to Kohoshi Elementary School.
"Your grandfather is in the school's music room right now. Go on!"
In the music room, a man in his sixties was kneeling before a wooden box, chanting a strange song.
"Grandpa!" Reidō Hikaru walked in and shouted.
Before Raidō Shūshin could turn his head, a man turned towards the entrance.
Xia Yu heard the word "Grandpa" and wondered if he should respond.
Reidō Hikaru was also a bit dumbfounded. Didn't Miring say that only his grandfather was here? Who was this guy!? Now that he had called out "Grandpa" and the man turned his head, did he think he was being addressed? The atmosphere was a bit awkward.
"Oh, Little Gō, you're back," Raidō Shūshin finally finished the sacrificial songs and turned around, smiling kindly at Reidō Hikaru.
"And who is this!?" Reidō Hikaru asked, looking at Xia Yu.
"Hello, my name is Xia Yu. Principal Shirai brought me here. I'm currently homeless and staying temporarily at Kohoshi Elementary School.
"You must be Shūshin-jiichan's grandson, Reidō Hikaru. I've heard so much about you!" Xia Yu walked forward and placed a hand on Reidō Hikaru's shoulder in a very familiar manner.
At the same time, Dark Lugiel was assessing Reidō Hikaru, the fellow his brother had chosen. However, Dark Lugiel couldn't discern anything remarkable about Reidō Hikaru that would warrant Ginga's choice.
"Hello, I'm Reidō Hikaru. You can call me Little Gō." Reidō Hikaru, also being very outgoing, quickly hit it off with Xia Yu.
The two sat with their arms slung over each other's shoulders, listening to Raidō Shūshin recount the story of the Galaxy Shrine, including the treasure his family had guarded for generations – the Ginga Spark!
"Ginga Spark!?" Reidō Hikaru was very puzzled. His family guarded such a thing, and he never knew? However, he was quite perceptive. Perhaps his return from London this time was a summons from the Ginga Spark.
"Little Gō, Grandpa is old now and can no longer be the guardian of the Ginga Spark. Now, the Ginga Spark is officially passed on to you!" Raidō Shūshin opened the wooden box, took out a Ginga Spark that looked ninety-nine percent similar to the Dark Spark, and handed it to Reidō Hikaru.
There was no other choice. His son and daughter-in-law didn't believe in the things his family had guarded for generations. Now that his grandson had finally returned, and he didn't know when he would leave again, he wanted to quickly pass on the task to his beloved grandson so he could retire. Watching Principal Shirai water flowers every day and enjoying a leisurely retirement life was something Raidō Shūshin couldn't deny being envious of.
And so, under Reidō Hikaru's bewildered gaze, Raidō Shūshin quickly handed the Ginga Spark to him and then quickly left the temporary Galaxy Shrine. Outside the door, Raidō Shūshin's hearty laughter could be heard.
"This?" Reidō Hikaru looked at the Ginga Spark in his hand, feeling a bit lost.
"Good brother, it looks like your grandfather is eager to retire. From now on, you'll be carrying this burden!" Xia Yu patted Reidō Hikaru's shoulder, then picked up a sack from a corner, preparing to leave.
"Hey, Xia Yu, where are you going!?"
"To Mount Kohoshi. I set up some simple hunting traps a few days ago to see if I could catch any rabbits."
"Hey, wait for me! I'll go with you. It'll be good to take a walk!"
From a corner, a red doll watched the two men gradually walk away. "It seems my guess was correct. He is the one chosen by the Ginga Spark."
"Only he can break the curse and become the savior!" With that, the doll vanished in a flash of red light.
"Xia Yu, you're amazing! You actually managed to catch a rabbit!" On Mount Kohoshi, Reidō Hikaru held a large rabbit in his right hand, his face full of smiles. Reidō Hikaru's dream was to become an adventurer, and these skills for catching wild game were essential for him to master. Now, he had someone mastering these skills before his eyes, which made him incredibly excited.
"Little Gō, do you recognize the person sitting over there?" Xia Yu asked, looking at a woman sitting on a dead tree in the distance.
"Miring!? What is she doing here?" Reidō Hikaru looked at the person in the distance, a flicker of joy on his face, then ran over with the rabbit.
Ishidō Miring was his childhood friend, and Reidō Hikaru had an indescribable feeling for Ishidō Miring.
"Little Gō, Xia Yu, you're here! That's great," Ishidō Miring said, holding a doll in both hands as she looked at Xia Yu and Reidō Hikaru.
"Little Gō, do you trust me? If you trust me, stab my treasure with the divine sword!!"
Little Gō: ??? Miring, what are you saying? Besides, shouldn't these things be done after we've established our relationship? Moreover, shouldn't this be done in a room, not out in the wild? Hiss, Miring, I never realized you were so adventurous!!
Perhaps sensing Reidō Hikaru's strange gaze, Ishidō Miring's pretty face turned bright red, a sense of shame rushing from the base of her spine to the back of her head.
"No, I... I didn't mean it like that!" After Ishidō Miring's explanation, Reidō Hikaru finally understood what the divine sword and Miring's treasure were.
"Ha, Miring, how could you believe such things?" Reidō Hikaru smiled helplessly, placed the rabbit on the ground, took out the Ginga Spark from his pocket, and pointed its tip at the front of the Taro Doll's left foot.
Under Ishidō Miring's expectant gaze, nothing happened.
"This is impossible!!" Suddenly, the Taro Doll in Little Gō's hand spoke, startling Reidō Hikaru.
"The... the doll spoke?!"
"A long, long time ago..."
"Alright, Ultraman Old Six, stop talking. The chosen one of the Ginga Spark has appeared, and you were poked by the Ginga Spark but still haven't changed. I'm quite curious now, are you a new type of robot, with some kind of chip installed in a silicone body?" Taro tried to explain his origin, but was interrupted by Xia Yu, who was sitting nearby.
"Wait, you two, are you hiding something from me!?"
