A pillar of black light shot into the sky like a sharp sword, tearing a massive rift in the night. The light of the stars was swallowed whole, and the entire world was shrouded in a suffocating darkness. Lu Chen and Huo Yao scrambled up from the ground, staring in terror at the sudden catastrophe.
