The head of the Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital, dressed in a crisp white lab coat, stood respectfully by the elevator. Moments later, the doors slid open to reveal Chairman Nie, the wealthiest man in the city. He wore a slate-grey suit, his face was ashen, and his eyes were dark and impenetrable.
The director immediately led the doctors and nurses in a bow. "Good evening, Chairman Nie!"
He hurried to guide him, saying, "Your third son is in the examination room; he will be out in thirty minutes at the most. Let me take you to a private room to rest. Also, I assume you haven’t had dinner yet—I’ve ordered a meal from Fook Lam Moon; it should be here in ten minutes..."
