Zhang Xiufen sensed someone watching her and glanced back. Chi Yin, catching the movement, felt a jolt of alarm and quickly crouched down. She hugged her knees, hiding behind the three-foot-tall wall, and began to back away slowly. Only when she reached a blind spot did she stand up and quicken her pace.
