Sheng Xia woke up the next morning and headed straight to the kitchen to slice meat. Previously, the meat she used for her stall had primarily been pork belly and chicken breast. In reality, the system provided her with a much wider selection, including beef, lamb, cartilage, pork belly, and chicken soft-bone, but she hadn’t bothered to sell those yet.
People in the eighties were generally starved for fat and flavor; compared to the exotic options, fatty and lean-streaked pork belly was their absolute favorite. Even the chicken was only on her menu because it was relatively cheap. However, since she was hosting guests at home, there was no reason not to use the best ingredients. Sheng Xia took out a little of everything, planning to let her family and friends have a taste of it all.
