The three members of Yuanchu continued pushing forward through the forest. Along the way, they encountered numerous shadow monsters they had seen before—distorted faces, uncoordinated limbs, and some that no longer even resembled human beings, looking more like random collections of human organs crammed haphazardly into a mass of writhing flesh.
At first, the three of them felt a bit squeamish seeing such things, but after looking at them for so long, they grew accustomed to it.
Perhaps because the journey was excessively boring, Moran and Yuanchu even huddled together to argue over the formless lumps of flesh, seeing who possessed a more artistic flair.
