On Friday morning, just as Lin Kaslana stepped back into the classroom, he bumped into Theresa, who was hurrying in for the lesson. As the two entered, they heard quiet murmurs spreading among the students. Theresa spoke up, telling everyone that Kaslana was back at his seat and it was time to prepare for class. Less than ten minutes into the lesson, Kaslana slumped over and fell fast asleep, prompting the classmate behind him to hurriedly nudge him awake with a warning that the teacher was coming down the aisle.
Just like that, Kaslana cheerfully earned himself a Chinese composition assignment on why he chose to sleep during class.
At noon, Yinyu approached class monitor Fu Hua, hoping she might be able to help improve Kaslana's physical education grades, warning that if things kept going this way, he would struggle even to graduate.
During the afternoon physical training session, Fu Hua walked up to Kaslana and said, "Classmate Lin, I hear your martial arts are quite good. Since we're both from Shenzhou, let's spar and exchange pointers."
Zhang Lin thought to himself, *What is this all about? I don't remember ever offending you!*
Before Kaslana could refuse, Fu Hua pulled him over to the training ground, which was spacious and fully equipped with every apparatus imaginable.
Fu Hua asked, "Classmate Lin, are you ready?"
Zhang Lin replied, "Please go easy on me!"
"I will. The match begins."
Fu Hua launched a tentative attack, wanting to see if Kaslana was truly as skilled as Yinyu had claimed. She threw a light straight punch; Zhang Lin was too slow to dodge, and it struck him squarely in the abdomen. Fu Hua followed up with a heavy right hook. Zhang Lin tried to block with his left arm, but the sheer force fractured the bone, and with a final Inch Punch, Kaslana was sent flying more than three meters away.
Zhang Lin thought, *Didn't you say you'd go easy on me? That was a lethal blow! It hurts so much!*
Even though Zhang Lin was severely injured, he didn't rush off to the infirmary just yet, as he wanted to watch the fight between Kiana and Fu Hua. He sat off to the side to observe. At first, Kiana and Fu Hua were evenly matched, but during one of Kiana's attacks, she overextended her right punch and was easily thrown to the ground with a shoulder throw by Fu Hua.
Zhang Lin thought, *As expected of a Fused Warrior from the Previous-Previous Era—she's so incredible. If only I had that kind of strength.*
Unable to bear the pain any longer, Zhang Lin called out to Yinyu to take him to the infirmary for treatment. Along the way, Yinyu messaged his good friend, Metal Gear Raiden, asking, "Are we teaming up to grind Dusk Witch tonight?" Yinyu readily agreed; after all, it wasn't every day you found an online friend with such compatible interests.
With some time left before the PE class ended, Lin Xie said to Fu Hua, "You must be the number one in the whole school, right? Fu Hua, is it? Let's have a match."
Fu Hua asked Lin Xie, "Classmate Lin Xie, are you sure?"
Lin Xie replied, "There's still plenty of time. Let's start in ten minutes."
Nearby, Mei looked a bit concerned about whether Kiana was hurt. Kiana assured her she was fine, and then both of them turned to watch the two challengers. No matter who won or lost, Mei still looked deeply worried.
Ten minutes later, Lin Xie announced, "Let's begin."
Lin Xie lashed out with a kick, which Fu Hua sidestepped. As she dodged, Fu Hua threw a left punch. Lin Xie intercepted it with an open right hand, then tightly grabbed Fu Hua's left wrist and countered with a punch from his own left hand, only for Fu Hua to catch it using the exact same maneuver. Locked in a stalemate, both of them had no choice but to break apart.
Fu Hua remarked, "It seems we're a match."
Lin Xie smiled. "I wouldn't be so sure."
This time, Lin Xie swept low. Fu Hua leaped into the air, and Lin Xie used the momentum to kick upward. Fu Hua took the hit and stumbled back two steps. The next moment, Fu Hua channeled her strength into the Celestial Inch Punch; with a single blow, the tables were instantly turned on Lin Xie, who had previously held the upper hand. But Lin Xie refused to surrender until the very last moment of defeat, and both fighters launched a simultaneous all-out attack. This time, Lin Xie was sent flying backward, and Fu Hua secured the victory.
However, Fu Hua muttered under her breath, "Truly worthy of that race's name. How has he grown this strong in such a short time?"
Privately, Fu Hua wondered, *Why is that guy named Lin Kaslana so much like him?*
