He suddenly stopped walking, turned toward a patch of man-high wild mugwort, unbuckled his waist saber, and parted the brush. Sure enough, it revealed a passage a little over a meter high, with daylight visible from the other end. The passage was located at the base of the wall and was extremely irregular, with radial cracks spreading along the edges of the stonework. It didn't look like human work, but rather as though the peak of the mountain had been eroded and collapsed by wind and rain, resulting in this little-known breach.
