General Wang Jian, now over fifty, felt as though half his body was already in the grave; he did not know how many years he had left. Seeing his Majesty in this aged state—even if it were only makeup—was a blessing. He bowed solemnly toward the First Emperor on the Skyscreen, wishing him a smooth and healthy life in this world. After all, the original Majesty had departed far too soon.
