Chapter 12

Meanwhile, the Demon Lord had shaken off his guards out of sheer boredom. Leaving the Demon Realm behind, he intended to head to the Immortal Realm to fetch some celestial nectar to drink.
It was all because the guards in his Demon Palace had praised the Immortal Realm's celestial nectar to the heavens, claiming it was unmatched anywhere on earth.
They even boasted that if any man possessed such fine wine, he was guaranteed to have prospective fathers-in-law fighting over themselves to make him their son-in-law.
Yet he, the Demon Lord, was no such man. He believed that women would only slow down the speed of his blade! Fine wine and celestial nectar were much more satisfying to drink!
This Demon Lord was an absolute eccentric! He was the most promising Demon Lord the Demon race had ever produced. Brilliant, extraordinarily talented, and well-read, he was also the supreme warrior of the Demon race!
With pure demon blood, he was the Demon Lord most likely to break through to the realm of the Demon God in the history of the Demon race! He was the most peerlessly handsome man in the Demon Realm, as well as the man every woman in the Demon race dreamed of marrying.
Countless beauties were sent to his side by various clans of the Demon Realm, purely in the hope that these beauties would bear descendants with pure bloodlines.
Unfortunately, this Demon Lord's ambitions lay elsewhere; he seemed utterly devoid of that particular inclination. He simply gifted all these beauties away to his subordinates...
Ever since ascending the throne, this Demon Lord had managed the affairs of the Demon race in perfect order. He even kept his subordinates strictly reined in, forbidding them from engaging in arson, murder, pillaging, or the violation of women without cause.
Worse still was committing evil deeds across the Six Realms. Anyone who dared violate this rule would be executed without mercy!
Yet a Demon Lord striving to be a good person in this manner was constantly being made the scapegoat by treacherous villains!
After all, the world's perception of the Demon race had always been fixed: arson, murder, pillaging, committing all manner of evil, and thoroughly rotten to the core! Every malicious word in existence seemed reserved exclusively for the people of the Demon race.
Question: "Who is the worst in the Six Realms?" Answer: "The Demon race!"
In any case, within these Six Realms, whenever a tragedy occurred and the evildoer could not be found, the blame was invariably shifted onto the Demon race.....
This gave true villains an opportunity to exploit the situation! For instance: the Second Princess of the Monster Realm, Feng Qinqin, and the young master of the Blue Phoenix, Qing Fengjing.
Demon Lord: ...My greatest speechlessness this year is being utterly speechless!
In the decades since he became the Demon Lord, he had strictly reined in his subordinates and implemented a rewarded reporting system! Once any wrongdoing was discovered or reported and verified, the perpetrator would be executed without mercy!
The Demon race was no longer what it used to be. The demon soldiers and generals had no opportunity to go out and commit evil.
Yet even so, people throughout the Six Realms still claimed that his Demon race had sacked this city today, or burned, killed, and pillaged countless innocent women tomorrow.
And the ringleader was allegedly the King of the Demon race himself, His Majesty the Demon Lord, who had personally led his subordinates in committing these atrocities!
Indeed, as the King of the Demon race, he had become the ultimate scapegoat!
At first, he tried to explain himself to the Six Realms. But no one—neither mortals nor immortals nor monsters—believed he was innocent...
Later on, this Demon Lord grew weary, fell out of love with the notion, and simply couldn't be bothered to explain anything anymore. He stopped caring altogether.
His demeanor and style of action underwent a complete transformation... Wasn't he accused of being utterly corrupt? Then he would live up to that reputation. He would track down whoever dared slander him and simply kill them to end the matter!
Whenever he encountered those truly guilty of countless crimes, he would kill them too! The Demon Lord's actions grew increasingly unrestrained and arbitrary...
So this time, keeping it a secret from his subordinates, he came to the Immortal Realm to fetch some celestial nectar. Accustomed as he was to acting as he pleased, he was eventually discovered by the heavenly soldiers and generals, who swarmed in to surround him.
Walk by the river often enough, and you are bound to get your shoes wet. The Demon Lord, having indulged in the celestial nectar, felt drowsy. How could he possibly be a match for so many heavenly soldiers and generals!
Consequently, he was besieged by the hosts of the Immortal Realm and severely wounded. After a fierce battle by the Jade Pool, he was cast down into the mortal realm.
As luck would have it, he happened to land right in the Deserted Valley where Luo Yuanyuan was staying.
By now, the Deserted Valley had long been fitted with numerous defensive and concealment arrays by Luo Yuanyuan, who had nothing better to do. All the restrictive arrays had been fully activated by her.
To put it mildly, the owner of this valley had now become Luo Yuanyuan. Yes, indeed! She had declared herself king of her own mountain domain. She had marked off this entire valley as her personal territory.
Little System had already fed back the problematic tasks issued by the Lord God.
Arguing logically and strongly with its Father, the Lord God, Little System finally managed to change Luo Yuanyuan's tasks into two: First, marry an outstanding man and give birth to an outstanding offspring! Second, avenge the original host and Crown Princess!
Then, it proactively asked Father Lord God for a gift to comfort its wounded soul! When the Lord God agreed to give it a gift,
it held nothing back. Turning right around, it pulled the gift out and let Luo Yuanyuan make her pick first. A Little System so sensible was truly a rare sight.
Luo Yuanyuan picked a gift, opened it up, and discovered it was a hairpin. This hairpin was far from ordinary; it was a supreme divine artifact.
Once bound to its owner, inserted into the hair, it would automatically style the owner's hair to match their attire, while also possessing defensive properties. Luo Yuanyuan was exceedingly fond of this automatic hair-styling function.
When the hairpin was pulled out, it would autonomously transform into a divine sword with an added attack bonus. It didn't require the master to know any martial techniques, completely fulfilling the dream of being carried while flying!
