He decided to carve White Impermanence first; after all, White Impermanence had a more distinct image, was more famous than Black Impermanence, and possessed greater strength. He took out his carving knife and began to work, but before doing so, he summoned all the great deities around him to stand guard, as they were, after all, in the wilderness. Under the watchful eyes of the gods, Bai Ze picked up the knife and carved slowly. Pure, white mental energy surged from his body, flowed into the blade, and was then etched into the wood. This was a cost-free carving, so it wasn't particularly taxing; Bai Ze simply focused on doing his best.
