The restrooms at the Su Family residence are located on either side of the row of outbuildings, divided into separate facilities for men and women. While perhaps rudimentary compared to what Su Shi'an had seen in her previous life, they were well-equipped with a basin for handwashing—supplied by bamboo piping—and a commode. The basin was used for washing up, while the commode featured a bamboo pipe at the rear for flushing, which could be covered with a bamboo lid when not in use. Though this design lacked the mobility of modern facilities, it was the most convenient arrangement achievable under their current circumstances.
The bathing rooms were situated in the center, also divided by gender. The wall separating the two rooms was extra thick and reached all the way to the roof, providing everyone with a full sense of security. The rooms featured simple, rustic doors, and opening them revealed a surprisingly bright and spacious interior. One side was lined with exquisite shelves for clothes and towels. Once they finished tidying up and added common bathing essentials like soap beans and fresh towels, it would be as convenient as one could possibly wish for.
