"Is it the Emperor of Heaven again?"
An Jing still remembered that the introductory literacy primer at Xuanming Village was the *Scripture of the Emperor of Heaven*. This was not particularly strange; the Emperor of Heaven represented Heaven itself, the sky, and the manifestation of all divine will. It was a ubiquitous faith throughout Dachen and even Huaixu. Many of the allusions and tenets within it were the very source of much of Dachen’s culture and legal code.
However, the *Scripture of the Emperor of Heaven* was different from this booklet. Because the worship of the Emperor of Heaven was so pervasive, many martial arts techniques and metaphysical methods claimed to originate from Him, though most were merely sectarian inventions. If all the martial arts in Xuanming Village followed this naming convention, it suggested that the organization behind it was likely not a sect, but a cult.
