The Black Market—or as it is formally known, the Xuanye City Special Market competition—is divided into two categories: the Youth Division and the Adult Division.
The Youth Division consists primarily of students from various high schools. Most participants are at the Peak Spirit Opening stage, with the occasional individual who has just stepped into the Qi Refining stage; at most, they reach the Qi Condensation Third Stage.
The Adult Division is quite different. Most of its participants are preparatory students from various academies. The minimum entry requirement is the Mid Qi Condensation stage—meaning they start at the Qi Condensation Fourth Stage. In practice, the vast majority are at the Qi Condensation Sixth stage, or have even broken through to the High Stage and become cultivators who possess Spiritual Sense.
