The blade shards of the Fuxie Sword were decayed, leaving only the core "Great Dao Soul."
This was, in reality, not of vital importance, for the Soul is the core of any Dao-Rhyme Spiritual Treasure. With the Soul intact, as long as one could find suitable materials later, the treasure could be easily reforged. The Fuxie Sword Spirit was stunned because its original form had long reached the state of "immortal and indestructible, eternal and unwearable." Although it had not yet achieved the "indestructible" status—hence why it could be shattered—once it had reached that point, even if the Soul were to perish or go dormant, the Spiritual Treasure itself could not be destroyed.
Yet, everything had played out in reverse: the Fuxie Sword Spirit’s soul was perfectly intact, while the blade had rotted away.
