Hanhai, the source of the demonic disaster in Hannan. Upon the salt flats where the "Lake of Dried Tears" once vanished, a pitch-black Abyssal Cave now pierces the barrier between the mundane world and the Netherworld. Countless Heavenly Demons and demonic beasts of the Netherworld surge forth, rushing out like a fountain of black ink.
In the endless Sea of Tears of the Netherworld, aside from the deities and spirits, there are only demonic beasts. Just as the Heavenly Sea has its Abyssal Return, the Sea of Tears has its own bottomless caves. These caves serve as portals for Heavenly Demons to travel between Taixu and the mundane world. Most have been sealed by major sects and kingdoms. Hannan hosts three such caves, guarded jointly by the Dachen Northern Patrol Military Army and the Hanhai Tide-Mist True Chi.
After the True Chi departed and the disaster erupted, it took the Northern Patrol Military Army nearly a decade to slowly exterminate the swarming demonic beasts and seal the Abyssal Cave.
