This building featured flying eaves and painted pavilions, glowing with brilliant light. It was at least ten times more imposing than the shops on either side, and its facade was exceptionally wide. The vermilion doors stood wide open, but unlike the neighboring stores, the people going in and out of this one were exclusively women; not a single man was to be seen. Compared to the orderly bustle of other shops, this place was truly eye-catching.
