A flail would surely be useless against a Titanomyrma of this size. The Titanomyrma was covered in smooth carapace, so even if the flail worked, it would be minimally effective. Wang Junjie's eyes suddenly lit up as he looked at the giant jaws of the Titanomyrma he had just tamed. This Titanomyrma could be used to control the wild one, as long as it couldn't fly.
Wang Junjie whistled. His Titanomyrma charged rapidly towards the wild Titanomyrma. Hearing the whistle, the wild Titanomyrma got up and looked around, seemingly confirming the source of the sound.
It saw a "compatriot" charging at it. While the wild Titanomyrma looked confused, Wang Junjie's Titanomyrma opened its jaws and clamped down firmly on the wild Titanomyrma's limbs. The wild Titanomyrma, not understanding why this "compatriot" was inexplicably attacking it, struggled desperately to break free from Wang Junjie's Titanomyrma's grip. But Wang Junjie's Titanomyrma held on tightly, and the wild Titanomyrma's struggles were futile. It spread its wings, intending to fly into the sky and escape, even preparing to take Wang Junjie's Titanomyrma with it. However, it was struck down by a sudden flail. The flail bound the two Titanomyrmas together, making it even more impossible for the wild Titanomyrma to escape.
Wang Junjie seized the opportunity, aimed, and shot an Anesthetic Arrow at the wild Titanomyrma. His Titanomyrma did not release its grip until Wang Junjie had knocked the wild Titanomyrma unconscious.
He had the Titanomyrma release the wild one. Then, Wang Junjie scanned it with his implant and waited for it to respawn. As expected, it woke up after about five minutes. Wang Junjie looked at the tamed Titanomyrma, his eyes showing a hint of excitement. The Titanomyrma sensed Wang Junjie's gaze and retreated a couple of steps, sweating coldly.
Wang Junjie slowly walked over, his face brimming with excitement and anticipation. Thrilled, he mounted the Titanomyrma, feeling its hard and smooth exoskeleton.
Once he was seated securely, he gently patted the Titanomyrma's back: "Try flying."
Upon hearing the command, the Titanomyrma slowly vibrated its massive wings, emitting a low hum. With the beating of its wings, the Titanomyrma gradually lifted off the ground, ascending slowly. Wang Junjie tightly gripped the spikes on the Titanomyrma's back, maintaining his balance. The Titanomyrma hovered about a meter above the ground, awaiting Wang Junjie's next command. Flight had always been humanity's dream, and now, Wang Junjie finally had the chance to realize and experience it. His heart was inevitably filled with joy and excitement. This was what flying felt like. From this moment on, he would embark on a brand new adventure, exploring the unknown world of the Ark.
Initially, Wang Junjie was clumsy during the test flights. However, after riding the Titanomyrma for an hour or two, he gradually mastered the art of flying and could now control the Titanomyrma to circle in the air.
He looked down at the ground below, a sense of exhilaration surging through him. However, Wang Junjie dared not fly too high, as he was not yet skilled. Once he became more familiar with flying, he could ride it to search for resources.
Wang Junjie continued flying through the jungle on his Titanomyrma until he saw a towering cliff ahead, realizing he had reached a dead end. If he wanted to go up the mountain, he would have to take a detour or go over the snow mountain. He could go up along the left side, but that only led to the snow mountain and not this mountain.
He rode his Titanomyrma back, flying straight out to the coast. Below, he saw scattered Raptors and Dimetrodons chasing and hunting Water Dragon Beasts and Dodos. He also spotted large Carbonemys and slow-moving Morellatops. A flock of Ichthyornis flew in the sky above the coast. He hadn't expected to find Raptors and Dimetrodons here. Although he was relieved that these carnivorous dinosaurs were far from his home and it would take some time to reach the beach, he had to guard against their surprise visits.
Considering that he had now tamed this Titanomyrma, he could accomplish many things in advance. He decided to stop for the day. For now, he had tamed enough. Tomorrow, he would tame some Raptors and Dimetrodons, and also two Carbonemys. Flying back, he called for his Raptor and Titanomyrma and returned home.
Back home, Wang Junjie collected the materials dropped by the Parasaurolophus and Morellatops. He summoned all the nearby patrolling Dimetrodons back. He assigned the giant soldier ant to guard the Dodos. Just as he was calling back the last Dimetrodon, an uninvited guest appeared out of nowhere. A Sabertooth Tiger had set its sights on his Dimetrodon. Fortunately, he spotted the situation from the air; otherwise, the Dimetrodon would likely have been eaten. But since he had seen it, it wasn't going to leave without becoming a Pal.
In the end, thanks to the Titanomyrma's advantage at high altitudes and the Dimetrodon's slowing poison, the Sabertooth Tiger could not escape and joined the ranks of the household guards.
The Sabertooth Tiger was large, with striped grey fur, a shoulder height of about 1.43 meters, and a body length of nearly 4.3 meters. It had a sturdy body, especially its powerful forelimbs. Its most striking feature was undoubtedly its head—two saber teeth, each up to 10 centimeters long, were deeply embedded in its upper jaw, almost level with the top of its head. Its lower jaw extended downwards with small guarding leaves. However, its upper canine teeth were much larger than those of modern tigers, even larger than the tusks of a male wild boar, resembling two inverted short swords.
The saber-like teeth and sharp claws of the Sabertooth Tiger were well-suited for cutting and tearing Animal hide. Although the Sabertooth Tiger was fast in the game, its weaknesses were its fragile body and low attack power. It was often called the "little brother tiger" by players, but its ability to gather Animal hide was comparable to that of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

After bringing back the Sabertooth Tiger, his next task was to build a Refining Furnace according to the implant blueprint, specifically for smelting iron ingots. Once the iron ore was smelted, they would soon enter the Iron Age.
He placed the Refining Furnace, filled it with wood, and lit it. Wang Junjie then put the tens of kilograms of iron from his implant into the furnace to be smelted. A Blacksmith's Table required iron. Once it was smelted, he could start making the Blacksmith's Table. Crafting the Blacksmith's Table required metal ingots, stone, wood, and Animal hide. He had everything except the iron ingots in his backpack.
Once the Blacksmith's Table was made, he could forge an Iron Pickaxe and an Iron Axe, and also fashion a Metal Spear for self-defense and a Knife specifically for skinning Animal hide.
As minute after minute passed, the sun gradually set, painting the horizon with a magnificent sunset. After a long wait, the tens of kilograms of iron were finally smelted. Wang Junjie gazed at the gleaming metal ingots before him, a smile of joy appearing on his face. He knew that this moment signified their official entry into the Iron Age, which would greatly enhance his survival capabilities and development speed.
He stored the metal ingots in his implant. Within the implant's space, he began to craft the Blacksmith's Table. The implant displayed its versatile technological prowess, allowing it to rapidly produce such a complex tool as a finished product. Wang Junjie couldn't help but marvel at the magic and power of this technology, wondering why a world capable of such technological advancement had been corrupted and invaded.
With the completion of the Blacksmith's Table, using these advanced tools and materials, he would be able to craft even more powerful weapons, tools, and equipment.
He placed the Blacksmith's Table in a corner of the room and began forging the Iron Pickaxe. After much hammering, a brand-new Iron Pickaxe was completed. He bound the handle of the Iron Pickaxe with fiber-made rope, making it much easier to wield without slipping. Then, Wang Junjie forged an Iron Axe, a Metal Spear, and a Knife, using up all the iron ingots. Crafting metal equipment also took a lot of time, and most of the night passed like this. The Metal Spear, in particular, required many iron ingots; its head was sharpened at both ends, making it 1.8 meters long, and Wang Junjie also wrapped the middle section with fiber rope to prevent slippage during use.
Using the Knife, he skinned many of the previous Dilophosaurus carcasses, as well as the Titanomyrma's carapace. He gained more raw meat. Wang Junjie set up several more bonfires outside and erected some torches to illuminate the entire area around the waterhole, making it much safer. Most beasts feared fire, and even if they weren't afraid, he could see any surprise attacks at night clearly.
