Following a series of internal selection trials, the roster for the World Table Tennis Championships in Budapest was finally finalized.
Shasha finished first in the internal round-robin, winning 11 and losing 2 (falling once to Wang Manyu and once to Chen Xingtong, though bizarrely sweeping veteran players like Ding Ning, Zhu Yuting, Liu Shiwen, and Chen Meng).
