Desperate to survive, they would stop at nothing—even threatening settled tribes to demand food or occupying their homes by force. Sometimes, even maddened, starving beasts would attack. Laxus was on high alert, fully prepared to fight at a moment's notice.
Loki saw this and hurriedly ducked behind a nearby tree, but his shadow still fell on the ground and gave him away. Laxus narrowed his eyes, carefully crept toward the tree, and then struck out with a swift punch toward Loki’s position.
