"Although I was not born under the moonlight of murder, I still have a fondness for the art of bloodshed." Raphael tapped his cheek, smiling with leisure. "Why don't we go somewhere else to talk? We have so many topics we need to discuss... until both sides are satisfied. Given my taste, this little place is far too remote and desolate." The moment his voice trailed off, the lush forest before them was instantly swallowed by a blinding white light. Ethemon stiffened, ready to attack at any second. Yet the next instant, light poured through stained glass into a magnificent hall. Marble statues of countless exotic beasts stood about the room, framed by painted beams and pillars, the colorful brick walls inlaid with golden threads, every single detail radiating a unique courtly charm. A roaring fire burned in the fireplace as if it would never be extinguished, and hanging on the wall above it was a massive oil painting of a Devil in full figure, exuding an ominous, dark aura. On the carved octagonal table touched by that light, countless fine wines and delicacies were laid out, sending forth a rich, lingering aroma.
