Chapter 6

"Although I cannot instantly add so many years to your grandfather's life all at once, I can gradually nourish his health and strive to help him live to the age of one hundred."
Ye Wushuang thought for a moment and said.
Since he had already intervened, he might as well take this opportunity to make a little more money.
Tang Moxixi's eyes lit up, and she hurriedly pursued the question, "How do we nourish his health?"
"I'll write him a prescription. He takes it once every half month, and continues taking it for three years. Then he can live to a hundred."
Ye Wushuang said casually.
He glanced at Tang Moxixi and rubbed his fingers together.
Tang Moxixi was speechless. This guy was truly a money lover.
"How much do you want?" she asked.
"My ancient prescription is a secret and has never been passed on to outsiders, so as for the price..."
Ye Wushuang raised an eyebrow.
"I'll offer one million to buy your ancient prescription. Is that all right?"
Before Tang Moxixi could reply, Tang Qingshan suddenly said with a smile.
Hearing this, Ye Wushuang couldn't help but beam with joy.
Selling a lousy pill formula for one million—he was going to make a fortune.
He decisively nodded, afraid that Tang Qingshan would go back on his word.
"In that case, plus the ten million for removing the Gu earlier, that makes a total of eleven million. Hand it over."
Ye Wushuang smiled brightly, extending his right hand to demand his hard-earned reward.
Suddenly, he looked at Tang Moxixi as if he had remembered something. "Right, and those tens of thousands you promised me earlier cannot be shorted either."
Tang Qingshan was slightly stunned. Eleven million?
He subconsciously turned his head to look at his granddaughter.
Tang Moxixi had no choice but to recount what had happened earlier.
Tang Qingshan's face darkened as he cast a glance at the three cowering brothers beside them.
Although his gaze wasn't particularly fierce, all three of them—Tang Jianchuan and his brothers—shivered with cold dread.
"Young friend, rest assured, we won't be shorting a single cent of the money promised to you. May I handle some family matters first?"
Tang Qingshan turned back around, his gaze instantly filled with smiles as he looked at Ye Wushuang.
"Please go ahead." Ye Wushuang smiled faintly.
Though his entire body was covered in dirt, he possessed a unique aura that made people reluctant to look down on him.
Nodding, Tang Qingshan refocused his gaze on his three sons.
"Dad, you've finally recovered. That's wonderful."
At that moment, Tang Jianlin's eyes rolled as a thought struck him.
With tears welling in his eyes, he stepped forward and grabbed Tang Qingshan's hand.
"Dad, I'm sorry. I was blinded by greed and listened to Second Brother's instigation, but from beginning to end, I never did anything to harm you."
Hearing this, Tang Jianchuan's face turned livid. His eyes burned red as he glared at Tang Jianlin.
The look in his eyes made it seem as though he wanted to devour him alive.
Clearly, all three of them had conspired together, yet now this fellow was pushing all the blame onto him.
This was simply too outrageous!
Soon, Tang Jiannan reacted as well, nodding in agreement. "That's right, Dad. It was all Second Brother's idea. He coerced and tempted us. Third Brother and I are innocent."
Coldly shaking him off, Tang Qingshan glared angrily at his three sons, practically roaring the words out.
"Do you three take me for a senile old fool? What you've done to me, and what you've done to Xi'er—did you really think I knew nothing about it?"
"Dad, I don't understand what you mean?" Tang Jianlin feigned ignorance.
Since there was no evidence, he would simply deny it to the death; the old master could do nothing to him.
"Hmph." Tang Qingshan let out a heavy snort and said nothing.
Instead, Ye Wushuang, standing off to the side, muttered softly, "I forgot to tell you all. This Life-Plundering Gu deprives a person of their vitality and plunges them into a coma, but it does not deprive them of their perception."
"In other words, he simply couldn't move or see, but his hearing and sense of smell were still intact."
"If you took the old master for a dead man, you were sorely mistaken."
As soon as these words were spoken, the faces of all three men turned completely pale.
They all recalled the scene from back then.
When they had planted the Life-Plundering Gu in Tang Qingshan, they had been beside themselves with arrogance.
Right beside the unconscious Tang Qingshan, they had loudly discussed their assassination plot against Tang Moxixi.
They had thought the plan was airtight and that only the three of them in the entire Tang Family knew about it.
Never had they imagined that, through a twist of fate, this secret would be overheard by the very person who should least have heard it.
"To commit such vicious acts against your own father and niece—have your consciences been eaten by dogs?"
Tang Qingshan was beside himself with fury, reprimanding his three sons.
There was unhidden disappointment on his face.
"Dad, I..."
Before Tang Jiannan could finish, Tang Qingshan raised a hand to cut him off.
"Don't call me dad. I don't have beastly sons like you."
The more Tang Qingshan spoke, the angrier he became. "Had I known you three were such unfilial sons, I should have just wiped you all against the wall back then."
Ye Wushuang: "..."
Tang Moxixi: "..."
Good grief, Old Master Tang was truly ferocious; he could even say words like that.
Still, Ye Wushuang could understand.
After painstakingly raising three sons, not a single one turned out to be capable—they were all unfilial wretches. Anyone would be driven to incoherent rage by such a sight.
"If you hadn't favored Tang Moxixi alone, wanting to hand the family business over to a mere woman to inherit, would we have done this?"
"When all is said and done, you're the one to blame for all of this!"
Tang Jianchuan roared angrily.
Since everything was out in the open, he no longer cared about the consequences.
"Unrepentant wretch! Get the hell out of this house right now!"
At this moment, Tang Qingshan instead grew calm.
He pointed toward the living room door and said coldly.
Tang Jianchuan refused to back down an inch, directly slamming the door as he left. "Leave then! At worst, I'll set up my own household. For thirty years the river flows east, then thirty years it flows west—don't bully a man just because he's down in his middle age!"
"Old Gu, cut off this unfilial son's source of funds immediately!"
Tang Qingshan said with an icy tone, addressing an elderly man in the living room.
This person was the butler of the Tang Family, named Gu Cheng.
Everyone in the Tang Family affectionately called him Old Gu.
"Yes, Master."
Having figured out the ins and outs of the matter, Butler Old Gu also held a rather poor opinion of the three Tang brothers.
No matter what, acting against one's own father was simply wrong; it was the behavior of a beast.
Tang Jianchuan stumbled as he walked, muttering curses under his breath. He turned back to glare at Tang Qingshan before speeding up his departure.
He swore inwardly: once he made it big in the future, he would definitely come back and trample the Tang Group underfoot.
"And the two of you, get out as well. I don't want to look at you anymore!"
Tang Qingshan shifted his gaze to his other two sons.
Tang Jiannan and Tang Jianlin exchanged glances, misery in their hearts that they couldn't voice.
Originally, if they had begged for mercy, perhaps the old master would have shown some leniency.
But after that blockhead Tang Jianchuan threw his tantrum, there was no room for maneuver left whatsoever.
With dejected faces, the two of them left the place.
Watching the backs of the three men leave, Tang Qingshan looked as though all his strength had been drained.
He slumped down onto the coffin lid, his posture radiating an indescribable desolation that even made Ye Wushuang feel a pang of sympathy.
The rest of the Tang Family members simply remained quietly in the living room, not a single person making a sound.
A moment later, supported by Tang Moxixi, Tang Qingshan stood back up.
He swept his gaze across the people in the living room, then spoke, his voice full of vigor and vitality.
"I announce that starting today, Tang Moxixi is the sole heir to my Tang Group."
"Once she graduates from university, the Tang Group will be managed entirely by her!"
