After Due left, Siming took the brewed medicine and went to find Feng Jiu. Ever since Siming had fished Feng Jiu out of the Mangtao River, she had been staying in his Siming Palace. Because of one emotional blow after another compounded by her physical injuries, she had not even told Chengyu that she had moved again. When Siming walked into the side hall, he saw Feng Jiu lying flat on the bed, looking utterly dejected. Only upon seeing Siming did Feng Jiu temporarily snap out of her sorrow. Looking at Siming’s face, which was as dark as the bottom of a wok, she knew instantly that she had managed to anger him again. Indeed, she knew she had gone way too far this time, and her injuries were far too severe. She also knew she had nearly lost her little life; under the sharp claws and teeth of the Snow Lion, she could neither fight nor run. Her only remaining advantage should have been that she still knew some spells to save her own skin, but as it turned out, she couldn't even use her magic anymore.
