They all found themselves sidelined, relegated to spectators, and began clamoring for their units to be equipped with such weaponry. The Brigade Commander, equally bewildered, could only offer the excuse that Li Yunlong was crafty and cunning, having long anticipated that the Japanese might seize this sole high ground in the vicinity. He claimed Li had planted explosives in advance and detonated them at the critical moment.
