After the photos cycled through, the news anchor said, "Please note these four mutants, citizens," and moved on to the next report. "Mutants? I don't remember there being any mutants in our world. I'll go check the records," Gwen said, and hurried out of the hotel. Brown sat on the sofa, his mind racing. He had been in the Marvel universe for some eight or nine years, always thinking he was in some universe, never imagining that an unconscious spatial jump would land him in a different one—and the X-Men universe at that. Though he had long since forgotten what the X-Men were up to during this period, he did remember Erik making a stadium fly into the sky.
