Blonsky called Coulson back.
"What is it? My phone's been ringing off the hook. I'm driving a friend home."
"General Ross found Banner at a beverage plant in Brazil. Get down there and bring him back. Ross has already sent an elite team."
Hearing Coulson's words, Blonsky didn't feel the slightest urge to go. After all, his original plan was to let the Abomination emerge—if Emil Blonsky wasn't beaten by the Hulk, how could he possibly become the Abomination? But another plot milestone had arrived, which meant it was time to draw prizes.
"Fine, I know you're in a rush, but hold your horses. I'll fly over and check it out. Where in Brazil exactly?"
"A beverage processing plant called Guaraná in a favela in Rio de Janeiro."
"Got it."
With that, Blonsky flew straight to Brazil.
After landing, Blonsky found a hotel, went to his room, and immediately checked in.
"System, twenty-draw." I refuse to believe my luck is that terrible!
"Ding x20. Congratulations, host, you have received one Blue-tier reward and one Red-tier reward."
Blonsky looked at the two items. The Blue reward was a Hollywood villa in Los Angeles, and the Red reward was the Red Queen artificial intelligence from Resident Evil.
"System, does this Red Queen obey me completely?"
"Yes, host. The Red Queen is currently like a newborn infant with zero memories. You will need to slowly familiarize her with all instructions."
"Not bad. I'll stash her in the villa when I get back."
After finishing his communication with the system, Blonsky used the Red Queen to locate Banner. Once he had the coordinates, he flew directly above the plant and used X-ray vision to watch the Hulk violently beat down the team sent by Ross.
Suddenly, Blonsky felt a chill down his spine. He looked up at the sky, wondering if Nick was spying on him with a satellite. Once the seed of suspicion was planted, it was impossible to shake off. He couldn't just fly around openly in the sky watching the show anymore; it was time to drop in and watch up close.
Blonsky flew directly to a deserted spot, landed, and ran toward the plant, but he still missed the best part: the Hulk teaching the thugs a lesson.
He arrived just in time to see Ross's team opening fire on the Hulk with zero effect, while their team leader, Blonsky, was sent flying by a kick from the Hulk. The Hulk suddenly turned and locked eyes with Blonsky. Could Blonsky let that slide?
He flew straight over, delivered a punch followed by a gut-check kick that sent the Hulk crashing out of the building. Hovering in the air, Blonsky used his X-ray vision to check on the Hulk through the smoke, only to see several cars flying toward him, hurled by the Hulk. Then the Hulk charged forward, roaring at the top of his lungs.
Blonsky immediately circled behind him, hit him with a German suplex, followed by a gravity-defying double-footed stomp straight onto the Hulk's face, and then hurled the Hulk up into the air, following it up with a supersonic punch. Blonsky then halted his attack and muttered under his breath,
"That should do it."
The Hulk staggered back to his feet, coiled his muscles, and prepared to leap. Blonsky dove down to meet him, and they collided mid-air. Blonsky drove the Hulk straight down toward the ground with a deafening crash, smashing the Hulk and himself into the sandy beach, the impact creating a crater thirty meters in radius.
Far away in New York, Nick watched the feed with sheer astonishment, thinking to himself that Blonsky's strength had grown by leaps and bounds compared to before. Although he was currently working for S.H.I.E.L.D. as a consultant, they still had to find a way to fully recruit him.
Meanwhile, down on the beach, the Hulk was just about to resume the fight when the Brazilian military arrived on the scene, prompting the Hulk to beat a retreat.
Seeing the Hulk leave, Blonsky flew off as well, heading straight to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s New York headquarters and crashing right through the window. "Director, mission failed. The Hulk is too strong."
Looking at Blonsky's tattered uniform, Nick offered some comfort.
"It's fine, I saw it on the satellite. Your strength is growing steadily. If this time doesn't work, we'll try the next. Or we can just recruit him while he's still Banner."
Hearing this, Blonsky gave a nod, thinking to himself that this old fox was definitely peeping via satellite after all. He turned to leave, but was stopped in his tracks.
"Next time you come, use the door. Stop smashing the window."
Blonsky smiled at Nick, smashed another pane of glass, and flew back to his villa in New York. Witnessing this, Nick flew into a rage.
"Motherfucker! Blonsky, the next time I see you, I'm docking your pay! Motherfucker!"
Back home, Blonsky immediately had the Red Queen take over all the electronics in the villa.
He sank into the sofa, pondering when the Abomination would finally make an appearance. It would be even better if the Abomination could join S.H.I.E.L.D.! Sure, he might not obey orders at first, but a good beating would fix that. At that moment, Blonsky suddenly remembered a crucial figure—Dr. Blue!
"Red Queen, can you hack into surveillance cameras and the internet all over the world?" Blonsky asked.
"Yes, Master," the Red Queen replied.
Hearing the Red Queen call him master sent a shiver down Blonsky's spine.
"Don't call me master from now on. Just call me Boss. If you can hack in, find someone whose online handle is Dr. Blue. Once you find him, pinpoint his location and notify me."
"Understood, Boss."
After that, Blonsky went straight to rest, planning to pick Tony's brain tomorrow and incidentally let the Red Queen and Jarvis go toe-to-toe in a match.
The next day, Blonsky went straight to Tony's villa and called out to Jarvis.
"Sir, what is it?"
"Give it a second, Jarvis." Blonsky pulled out a small projector running the Red Queen.
"Red Queen, hack into Jarvis and see what you can do."
Hearing this, Jarvis immediately threw up maximum defenses and attempted to hack the Red Queen in return.
Leaving them to it, Blonsky went off to find Tony, while Jarvis and the red-haired AI stopped their mutual assault and started chatting...
"Haha, Tony, I'm back," Blonsky said with a cheeky grin.
"You're here. What brilliant idea do you have this time?" Tony asked.
"Come on, Tony, can't you go out and have some fun? Look at you, aren't you just turning into a pure homebody?" Blonsky teased.
"What do you mean, homebody? I'm developing useful technology here," Tony retorted.
"Even so, you shouldn't be cooped up studying all day long." With that, Blonsky made to drag Tony outside.
"Fine, fine. Tonight, then. How about you and I go out for a drink tonight?" Tony relented, agreeing to head out.
"Alright, let's go. Stop locking yourself in the R&D lab," Blonsky said.
Blonsky dragged Tony out of the lab, took the elevator up to the living room, and saw Jarvis and the Red Queen deep in pleasant conversation.
"Wait, why are you two chatting?" Blonsky asked.
"Boss, because neither of us can break through the other's defenses," the Red Queen replied.
"Hold on, this little gadget is an AI?" Tony asked in shock.
"Yep, my very own AI. I came here today to pick Jarvis's brain," Blonsky answered.
"Well, well. You're full of surprises lately. Jarvis, should we give you a virtual avatar too?" Tony asked, catching sight of the Red Queen's holographic projection.
"Sir, I would like that," Jarvis replied happily.
"Great, but the project is already queued up behind these armor designs," Tony said.
"Haha, looks like my Red Queen is a match for your Jarvis," Blonsky gloated.
Tony rolled his eyes at Blonsky.
"You two go chat amongst yourselves. Blonsky and I are going to have some food and drinks."
"Sounds good, food and drinks. Should we call Pepper back later and have her join us?" Blonsky asked.
"Forget it, Pepper is pretty busy right now. Ever since I announced the shutdown of the weapons manufacturing division, the entire weight of Stark Industries has fallen on her shoulders. Sometimes I feel really guilty about it," Tony said with a hint of remorse.
Hearing Tony say this, Blonsky felt like Tony had changed. The playboy from before was truly different now.
"Want me to call a few models for our night out?"
Never mind, he was still the same old Tony.
"Call a few. I want to see what kind of life you've actually been living."
