Erik tore a wall off the basement. Inside, the Secret Service agents, government officials, and the president were all tangled up and piled on top of one another from the recent shaking. Erik pulled all the guns in the basement toward himself, except for the plastic sidearm of the officer standing near Bolivar, and then turned the surrounding cameras toward himself to deliver a speech.
"You built these weapons to destroy us. Why? Because you fear our gifts, because we are different. Humans have always feared creatures who are similar to them yet different. I tell you now, and I tell the world: you should fear us. We are the future! We are the ones who will inherit this earth! Anyone who stands in our way, anyone who reviles us, will suffer the same fate as the people you see before you! Today, you intended to declare your new strength, but I am giving you a small reminder that our race is fully capable of dealing you a devastating blow. Consider this a warning to the world."
After finishing, Erik turned back to face the camera directly and spoke again:
