Hulk could no longer contain himself and charged at Blonsky, who likewise flew toward Hulk.
Hulk threw the first punch, but Blonsky caught it. Blonsky originally intended to try a winding technique from Bajiquan, but realized his arms weren't long enough. Before he could react, Hulk's second punch struck!
The blow landed squarely on Blonsky's head, sending him flying backward through several somersaults before he finally stopped. Once again, picking on me for being careless and dropping my guard!
"Heh heh heh, come again!"
Flying forward like a cannonball, Blonsky sent Hulk crashing away with an Iron Mountain Lean. Following closely, he delivered an elbow drop straight from the heavens right onto the top of Hulk's head. The blows drove Hulk back step by step and fueled his rage even further. Charging forward once more, Hulk threw punches left and right, but none of them connected with Blonsky. Driven mad with frustration, Hulk picked up a car and hurled it at Blonsky, but he dodged every single one, making Hulk angrier still!
Realizing that Blonsky remained airborne and never touched the ground, Hulk swept his arms forward with all his might to conjure up a gale-force wind that blew Blonsky away. Seizing the opportunity, Hulk leaped into the air, landed beside Blonsky, and struck him with a flurry of punches. Taken completely by surprise by this sudden move, Blonsky took several hits.
Recovering his wits, Blonsky immediately executed a flying crow sit, slamming heavily onto Hulk's back and raining heavy punches down on the back of his head. Because Hulk had just been injected with the serum, his strength was greatly diminished.
Done with flying, Blonsky ran straight at Hulk, dodging his attacks to the left and right before executing a Nezha churning the sea by kicking fiercely at Hulk's ankles. He then leaped onto Hulk's back for a twin dragons probing the ears maneuver, jumped off, and kicked both of Hulk's ankles from behind to bring him crashing to the ground. Finishing with a Mount Tai crushes the peak, he drove his knee violently into Hulk's head! With that, Blonsky completed a double kill on both Hulk and Abomination.
In this brief span of time, Blonsky had subdued both Hulk and Abomination. General Ross and Director Fury were both stunned by the strength Blonsky had displayed today, a fact that cast an even deeper shadow of worry over Fury's heart.
Hulk and Abomination transformed back into Banner and Blonsky respectively. Blonsky carried them both by the scruff of their necks to S.H.I.E.L.D., handed them over to Agent Coulson, and then strode into the Director's office.
"My dear Director, I've brought Banner and Blonsky to you. Let's settle my pay," Blonsky said with a grin.
"My dear consultant, I never put out a bounty assignment for this," Fury said with a smile.
"No matter. If you don't believe me, I'll take the two of them over to General Ross right now. I'm sure General Ross will give me a good price."
Hearing this, the corners of Fury's mouth twitched briefly. After all, if Blonsky really wanted to take these two away, S.H.I.E.L.D. truly had no effective way to stop him. With a helpless look, Fury said:
"I can give you two million dollars and clean up the mess left behind by all this."
"Two million? Director, do you have any idea how much effort it took me to capture these two? I had to beat them back into human form and drag them all the way to S.H.I.E.L.D., and I'm even including after-sales service. If either Banner or Blonsky transforms and escapes, I'll hunt him down and subdue him myself. And you're only giving me two million?"
"Yes. As you know, with the recent economic downturn and the financial crisis, S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn't have much money left. How about this: two million dollars, plus you get free access to browse the S.H.I.E.L.D. archives whenever you like."
"No, why would I want to browse archives for no reason? You might as well just give me more cash—four million dollars."
"Blonsky, is there anything else you want besides money?"
"No. Besides, what could S.H.I.E.L.D. possibly have that would be of any help to me?"
Hearing this, Fury thought about it and realized it was true. To Blonsky, the high-tech creations within S.H.I.E.L.D. indeed offered no practical use. Yet he didn't want to spend that much money either. After turning it over in his mind, he settled on only one solution.
"How about this? Giving you that much all at once is out of the question, but I'll give you two million and raise your salary from an annual eighty thousand to a million, starting this year. How does that sound?"
Blonsky stood up with a helpless sigh.
"Fine. But I'll stay as I am—just a consultant. Give me a mission, pay me when it's done. That's settled."
With that, he walked out of S.H.I.E.L.D., stood at the entrance, and looked back.
"A terrorist organization disguised as an intelligence agency everywhere you look—what's the point of joining or not joining?"
He then vanished into the dark night.
Arriving home, Blonsky summoned the system.
"System, ten consecutive draws."
[Ding × 10]
The rewards were one red, one gold, and eight gray. The red reward was Superman's weapon, the Sword of Superman, and the gold reward was the Silver Age Superman template.
"System, integrate the Silver Age Superman template."
[Understood.] Following a flash of white light, [Integration successful.]
Blonsky examined his body, then asked the system what abilities the Silver Age Superman possessed.
The system then projected a light screen showing the difference in abilities between the Man of Steel and Silver Age Superman:
"I've grown this much stronger. As things stand, apart from the Ancient One, I can beat anyone else on this Earth, and even crush them."
"System, is this Sword of Superman just as ridiculously overpowered as the one in the comics?"
[Of course not. It's just a sword, but it is extremely sharp and can cut through anything.]
"Fine, and here I thought it was just like the comic version."
Blonsky glanced at the Space Stone in his inventory, took it out, and teleported to Kamar-Taj, only to find Mordo and the other Kamar-Taj students already in fighting stances.
"Whoa, whoa, I'm a friend of the Ancient One. Take it easy."
"Yes, he is my friend. Come with me, Blonsky."
Blonsky followed the Ancient One's footsteps into the main hall.
"Please sit. Tea or coffee?"
"Tea. The tea here at Kamar-Taj is different from what I drink anywhere else—very refreshing and calming. Can you give me some when I leave?"
"Of course. You are also welcome to come here and drink it anytime; my doors are always open to you."
Blonsky nodded and took out the Space Stone.
"I need you to help me turn the Space Stone into a necklace, just like the Eye of Agamotto."
The Ancient One took the Space Stone and said, "How did this end up with you?"
"I left it behind when I saved Captain America last time."
The Ancient One smiled. "You certainly don't miss out on any perks when S.H.I.E.L.D. gives you a job. Very well, come back to pick it up in a few days."
"Can I stay here for a few days? I want to see if I have any talent for learning magic."
The Ancient One looked Blonsky up and down and said, "You have no talent for learning magic."
"How will I know if I don't try?"
"Very well. If you're willing, go with Mordo."
With that, the Ancient One called out for Mordo, who entered the hall.
"Sorcerer Supreme, do you have any instructions?"
"This guest wishes to learn magic. Show him around and arrange a room for him."
"Right away, Sorcerer Supreme. Please follow me, I'll take you to your room."
After Blonsky left with Mordo, the Ancient One murmured, "Neither fully righteous nor fully evil—I truly wonder what kind of storms your arrival will stir up."
The Ancient One then went to fashion the Space Stone into a necklace for Blonsky.
"Whoa, this single room looks alright."
"Here, take this." Mordo handed Blonsky a slip of paper with some numbers written on it.
"What is this?" Blonsky asked.
"This is the Kamar-Taj Wi-Fi password. We aren't cavemen; we use the internet for entertainment too."
"Oh, right. So how does one cultivate magic?"
"Diligent practice, alongside a certain amount of talent."
Before leaving, Mordo added, "Take a bath and rest. Meditate for a bit if you can, and join our practice tomorrow morning."
Blonsky nodded upon hearing this.
