Li Mu lost his temper too!
"Damn it, you suddenly cut in from the side, you're entirely at fault here."
He yanked open the car door, got out with a dark face, and saw that the owner of the Maybach was a young man in his late twenties.
He was wearing a black Zegna casual shirt and black casual trousers.
A pair of Louis Vuitton sunglasses rested on his ears.
At first glance, he looked extremely swaggering.
Seeing that Li Mu actually dared to get out of the car, the Maybach owner grabbed Li Mu by the collar, pressed his forehead directly against Li Mu's, and cursed arrogantly: "Do you fucking want to die? Believe it or not, I'll have someone deal with you."
Li Mu thrust his elbow forward, and the young man let out a cry of pain, clutching his stomach as he let go of Li Mu.
Realizing he had gotten the worst of it, the Maybach owner grew even angrier. With a whoosh, he popped open the trunk, pulled out a golf club, and angrily smashed it toward Li Mu's face.
Li Mu was startled.
If that connected, he would at least be disfigured.
He hurriedly sidestepped to dodge. The golf club whipped up a sharp gust of wind, brushing past Li Mu's shoulder by a mere inch before crashing with a loud "clang" onto the front hood of Li Mu's Mercedes.
The hood immediately caved in by an inch.
Li Mu's heart was bleeding! *Damn you, that's not even my car!*
*How am I supposed to explain this to the owner?*
At that thought, Li Mu felt the blood in his entire body burning.
The Maybach owner still didn't think he had done anything wrong. Laughing wildly and arrogantly, he swung his arm and brought the golf club down toward Li Mu's face once again.
Li Mu crouched to dodge, and taking advantage of the Maybach owner's unstable footing, he wrapped his arms around the man's waist and drove his elbow into the man's lower abdomen.
The Maybach owner let out a loud "waah," and the golf club slipped from his grip, clattering to the ground.
Putting in more force, Li Mu tackled him straight to the ground.
Flipping the man over, Li Mu threaded his hands under the Maybach owner's armpits, locked his arms, pinned the man's calves down with his knees, and ground him hard against the pavement.
"I'll fucking kill you!" the Maybach owner cursed with a red face.
"Who the hell do you think you're fronting for? You're a bit too green to act tough in front of your grandfather!" Filled entirely with rage, Li Mu didn't care what kind of big shot this car owner might be; he just pinned him to the ground and rubbed his face in it.
"Let me go! Let me go!" The Maybach owner writhed his body and cursed frantically.
His sunglasses fell off, completely exposing his entire face.
He was very young, looking only a few years older than Li Mu. His original facial features looked quite gentle, but right now his expression was fierce, twisted into a hideous grimace that made people very uncomfortable.
Why did this guy look so familiar?
Extremely familiar!
Li Mu leaned down to take a closer look. His memories gradually clicked into place, and the more he looked, the more familiar the face became, until Li Mu's pupils suddenly constricted.
This fucking guy—was it Liu Zi?
Zhang Guoli's son?!
Liu Zi was still struggling at this point: "Let me go! Let me go! Do you know who I am? Mess with me, and I'll have people hunt you down and kill you, you bastard! Let me go! Let me go!"
With a large Mercedes and a Maybach parked right in the middle of the road, coupled with Liu Zi's shouting, a large crowd was immediately drawn.
Passing drivers stopped their cars and turned their gazes toward the two men.
Soon, the traffic police officer who received the report also rushed over.
Seeing Li Mu pinning Liu Zi to the ground, he glared fiercely at Li Mu and issued a stern warning: "Let go."
"Oh, right." Li Mu hurriedly released Liu Zi.
As soon as he let go, the guy actually lunged at Li Mu again right in front of the traffic officer. Li Mu raised his foot and delivered a heavy kick, knocking Liu Zi flat onto his back.
Grimacing in pain, Liu Zi clutched his lower abdomen and glared fiercely at Li Mu.
The traffic officer knitted his brows, clearly disliking Liu Zi's behavior.
"What's going on here?" the traffic officer asked.
Hearing this, Li Mu immediately recounted the whole sequence of events from beginning to end, adding at the end: "He threw the first punch. I didn't fight back at first, but then I figured he might have something wrong with his head, so I pinned him to the ground."
"You're the one who's fucking wrong in the head!" Liu Zi cursed angrily.
Rage surged in Li Mu's heart, and he raised his foot to kick him again. Liu Zi was so frightened that he instinctively raised both hands to block in front of his chest.
However, Li Mu's kick never came down. After a long moment, Liu Zi slowly lowered his arms.
He saw Li Mu looking at him with a broad smile, as if looking at someone with a mental disability.
Liu Zi instantly flew into a rage, struggling to his feet to fight Li Mu to the death.
The traffic officer beside them pointed right at the bridge of Liu Zi's nose and berated him: "What are you doing? What are you doing?! Do you really have to drag this all the way to the police station? You made an illegal lane change and you hit someone, and you're still acting like you're in the right?"
Hearing the words "police station," Liu Zi instantly lost his nerve.
He sniffled and consciously put some distance between himself and Li Mu's group.
Seeing that Liu Zi had quieted down, the traffic officer decided not to escalate the situation further. He looked at Li Mu and announced the verdict: "The Maybach is entirely at fault. Whether you want to use insurance is up to you, but not a single penny of what he owes for repairs will be shorted."
Li Mu glanced at the dented car panel and nodded in agreement.
Fortunately, he had hit the brakes in time, so the damage to the car wasn't too severe.
That was the greatest misfortune among fortunes; if it had needed major repairs, he wouldn't have known how to face Jing Tian.
Without wasting any words, the traffic officer efficiently issued a "Traffic Accident Liability Determination Certificate": "Alright, since you have no objections, just sign it."
Li Mu signed his name on it and handed it back to the traffic officer.
The traffic officer took it, walked over to Liu Zi, and handed the liability certificate right in front of him: "I checked the Mercedes' dashcam. You suddenly overtook from behind, and the other party clearly tried to brake. You're fully at fault."
"Then what about him beating me up?!" Liu Zi gritted his teeth, pointing at his own red and swollen cheek.
The traffic officer was amused. You went up and started a fight, got beaten in return, and now you're coming to me to air your grievances? Besides, this matter wasn't under his jurisdiction anyway, and when he told you to go down to the station, you refused.
"That's outside my jurisdiction. If you have any other disputes, go file a lawsuit in court yourselves," the traffic officer said, waving a hand. "Though I have to remind you, in a case like yours, the court might very well refuse to accept it."
Cursing his bad luck, Liu Zi spat toward Li Mu and strode aggressively past the front of the car to leave.
Li Mu also pulled open his car door and got back into the driver's seat.
Inside the car, Uncle Ge, who had been lying low just moments before, slowly stood up and gave a light cough.
Only then did Li Mu remember that this person was still in the car, so he smiled and offered some comfort: "It's all over, big brother. I've taken care of everything."
"I know you young folks have hot tempers, but out in the world, it's best to show some forbearance in everything," Uncle Ge advised earnestly. "Anyone who drives that kind of car usually has people backing them up."
"Do you even know who the guy you beat up is?"
"Isn't he just Zhang Guoli's son? The one who got expelled from the Central Academy of Drama," Li Mu said, full of disdain.
"You knew and you still beat him like that? Didn't you know he's in the same production crew as you?"
"I already held back."
Uncle Ge was speechless, waving and shaking his head at the same time: "Forget it, forget it. You beat him, so you beat him; just don't provoke him from now on. Drive, drive. My old bones were given quite a workout just now. Let's get to the crew early and get some rest early."
Li Mu smiled in agreement, stepped on the gas pedal, and set off once again.
