After considering the thoughts of the four young women regarding martial arts training, Prince of Shicheng Hua Tianxiong decided that the Daqin Standard Swordsmanship was the most suitable for them. After all, this was the standard combat technique utilized by all Martial Practitioners throughout the Great Qin Empire, especially by its military forces and various levels of government administration. Given that the four women—Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter—preferred swords over blades, it was the ideal choice. Prince of Shicheng Hua Tianxiong prepared to teach them the technique. He began by teaching the four women all the mental mantras and formulas associated with the Daqin Standard Swordsmanship. After they spent a full day memorizing these, the Prince picked up an ordinary longsword and began to slowly and methodically demonstrate the technique to them. He performed each of the nine forms of the Daqin Standard Swordsmanship one by one: the first form, Opening Stance; the second, Empty Step Sword Lift; the third, Welcoming the Honored Guest; the fourth, Guanyin Sitting on the Lotus; the fifth, Plucking the Stars and Reaching for the Moon; the sixth, Observing the Heavens; the seventh, Nezha Stirs the Sea; the eighth, Looking Back with a Smile; and the ninth, Grafting Flowers onto Another Tree.
