Each thousand-man battalion was further divided into three hundred-man squadrons. The First Battalion was split into three squadrons, led by Zhang Rang, and Gao Yong and Chen Qi—subordinates of Yue Peng who had transferred from the original Lincang City army. These three were appointed as Guerrilla Generals, all holding a cultivation level of Second-Rank Martial Master or higher, and were entitled to the treatment of a rank 5b official.
The Second Battalion was also divided into three squadrons, under the charge of Li Liang, Wang Guofeng, and Xiao Bin. Wang Guofeng and Xiao Bin were former subordinates of Xiao Feng and had fought with exceptional bravery in the battle at Demon Wolf Valley. These three were also appointed as Guerrilla Generals, all having reached a cultivation level of First-Rank Martial Master or higher, and were entitled to the treatment of a rank 5b official.
The Third Battalion was organized in the same manner, with three newly appointed Guerrilla Generals—Gao Chengang, Zhao Yanyue, and Zhang Dapeng, a former subordinate of Yue Peng—each leading a squadron. These three men, all holding a cultivation level of Second-Rank Martial Master or higher, were also appointed as Guerrilla Generals and entitled to the treatment of a rank 5b official.
