Afterward, the three of them hailed a cab and left.
In the car, Su Wan'er and Fang Miaoxue sat in the back row, chatting and laughing like two girlfriends.
In her heart, Fang Miaoxue had always hoped that Su Wan'er could become her sister-in-law, but unfortunately... that wasn't something she could decide.
Along the way, Fang Yan remained silent, rolling down the window to look outside as the breeze blew in and ruffled his short hair.
Looking at Fang Yan from behind, Su Wan'er felt an indescribable emotion.
Fang Yan had changed.
You were never this cold to me before. Perhaps... you've really let go, or perhaps... you still hate me.
Fang Yan, by helping you this time, we're even now, and I won't feel like I owe you anything anymore.
Before long, the car came to a stop.
Seeing the large sign ahead, Fang Miaoxue exclaimed excitedly, "Wow, it's Tianyi Music Bistro!"
Su Wan'er smiled and asked, "Miaoxue has heard of it too?"
Fang Miaoxue nodded vigorously. "Yeah, lots of our classmates have been here, but I heard it's super expensive."
Hearing this, Fang Yan felt a pang in his heart. Once upon a time, Fang Miaoxue was also a young lady of the Fang family, and visiting high-end places was completely normal for her.
But now...
He took his sister's hand. "If you like it, we can come every day!"
Su Wan'er gave him a sideways glance. "Take it easy. Don't go blowing whatever money you made from selling medicine. Wait until you have a stable job before you treat us!"
"Did I say I was treating you?"
With that, Fang Yan stepped inside.
After all, he still had over four million in Kali. Even if he hadn't come for Sun Chen and the others, Fang Yan could afford to spend freely.
"You..." Su Wan'er clenched her dainty fists, but quickly sighed. "Whatever, it's helping him out one last time anyway."
Tianyi Music Bistro was a newly opened spot in Tianzhou tailored for young people.
By day, it was a beautifully landscaped restaurant. After seven o'clock in the evening, the lights would come on, dance music would start playing, and it would transform into a wild bar.
It was said that the boss of Tianyi had quite a formidable background. As soon as it opened, many of the city's rich kids rushed over to join in the excitement, and it was packed almost every single day.
It was just past six o'clock. Although the lively bar atmosphere hadn't officially begun yet, the moment they stepped into the restaurant, Fang Yan and the others could already feel the eager, buzzing energy.
"Wan'er, over here!"
As they were looking around, a voice called out. Su Wan'er looked over and waved in that direction.
"Fang Yan, let's go over."
Fang Yan looked at that table of people. There were five or six of them in total, mostly young men and women arriving in pairs.
However, what caught his attention most was a young man with brown, parted hair, a black shirt, and a Cosmograph Daytona on his wrist.
It was Sun Chen!
To be precise, he could also be considered an enemy from his past life.
Back in college, Sun Chen had even intercepted Fang Yan outside the school while trying to woo Su Wan'er.
Fang Yan clearly remembered that time: Sun Chen had warned him to stay away from Su Wan'er and then slapped him three times.
Through the vicissitudes of hundreds of years, in the eyes of the present Fang Yan, that felt like nothing more than children playing house, and he couldn't be bothered to hold a grudge.
Seeing Fang Yan behind Su Wan'er, Sun Chen couldn't help frowning slightly.
"Wan'er, why did you bring him along?"
Sun Chen's pursuit of Su Wan'er had never stopped, but it had never succeeded either.
Seeing Su Wan'er together with Fang Yan today instantly put him in a foul mood.
In fact, it was more than that. They all belonged to the circle of second-generation elites, and Fang Yan was now nothing more than someone from the bottom rung. That alone was reason enough to exclude him.
Su Wan'er said, "We're all classmates. Isn't it normal to get together?"
Hearing this, Wang Jianyu chimed in from the side, "Hahaha, class reunions are normal, but... Wan'er, shouldn't we hang out with people in our own tax bracket?"
"What kind of way is that to talk?" Du Xuebin interrupted from the other side. "Fang Yan used to be a wealthy young master too, you know. It's just that... things are a bit rough for him now. Haha, right, Young Master Fang?"
Fang Yan looked at the two of them and sneered inwardly.
Back in college, they had groveled to Sun Chen like pug dogs. He hadn't expected them to still be acting the exact same way.
Tragic, really.
Hearing this, Su Wan'er grew displeased. "What's wrong with you guys? Is there anything to compare among classmates? If you're going to be like this, we're leaving!"
With that, Su Wan'er made to take Fang Yan and his sister away. After all, she was the one who brought Fang Yan, and with them talking like this, she was losing face too.
At that moment, however, Sun Chen stood up. "Wan'er is right. We're all classmates, stop spouting nonsense."
As he spoke, he got up, walked over, and draped an arm around Su Wan'er's shoulder. "My dear, hurry up and sit down."
Su Wan'er instinctively dodged away and looked at Fang Yan. "Fang Yan, Miaoxue, sit down!"
Fang Yan and Fang Miaoxue sat at the edge. After all, he had never intended to eat anyway; he had only come along to humor Su Wan'er.
Noticing Fang Miaoxue, Wang Jianyu asked, "Eh? Who is this little beauty..."
Su Wan'er was gorgeous, but these guys didn't dare harbor any inappropriate thoughts—after all, she was the goddess adored by their boss, Sun Chen.
Yet Fang Miaoxue was naturally beautiful and only seventeen or eighteen years old. Sitting there, her pure charm instantly triumphed over heavy makeup, making her the focal point in the eyes of several of the guys.
Seeing Wang Jianyu's expression, the pretty girl beside him gave him a sharp nudge with her elbow.
It was Su Wan'er's best friend, Liu Tingting.
"Ahem, watch yourself. You into girls who haven't even finished growing up?" Liu Tingting tossed her head and said with an arrogant air.
Fang Yan frowned. What they said about him, he didn't care. But if they dragged his sister into it... then they were asking for a beating.
Su Wan'er said, "This is Fang Yan's sister, Fang Miaoxue."
"Oh? You even brought your sister? Looks like Young Master Fang is... unable to find a job and babysitting full-time these days?"
"Hahahaha!"
"Hahaha!"
Fang Yan stood up, fixing his gaze on Du Xuebin, who had just spoken.
"Watch your mouth, or I'll make sure you can't speak at all!"
