Chapter 6

641 words3 minutes read

After leaving the Theater of Domination, the puppets inside stood motionless, staring at the shining star in the sky. Before leaving, Yeye had completely sealed the space, leaving them with no way out. At that moment, the shining star exploded. A powerful shockwave swept across the entire Theater of Domination, and the theater collapsed with a deafening roar. Caught in the blast, the puppets were reduced to dust, leaving behind only shattered fragments of the Herrscher Core.
Outside the Theater of Domination, Yeye quickly deactivated True Self Mode, stumbling as he took a step. He almost fell, but Kiana and the others caught him just in time. "Teacher, are you alright?" "Phew. If that guy hadn't used me as a human shield, I wouldn't even have bothered to step in. That form puts a massive burden on me." "So, Teacher, you actually could have broken out on your own this whole time?" Dark expressions washed over everyone's faces, and then they let go of him. "Hey, hey, hey! Don't let go! I can't steady myself right now." Just as Yeye's face was about to hit the ground, they grabbed him back. His face hovered a mere centimeter or two above the dirt. "Teacher, we were just kidding." "I don't think that joke was very funny." "So, what is your current physical condition, Teacher?" "Much better than last time. Probably because I exited the state early. I'll be fine after resting for a while." "Is that so? Then where on earth did you bring us, Teacher?"
All around them was a vast ocean, and they were standing on a small patch of land in the middle of it. "It's fine. I've already notified Theresa and told them to come pick us up. The Hyperion will be here before long. Want something to eat?" With a casual reach, Yeye pulled out a complete set of barbecue equipment—seasoning, charcoal, and everything else needed were all on hand, along with pre-skewered meat. Kiana placed the charcoal into the grill, summoned a small flame in her hand, and tossed it into the charcoal. As the charcoal caught fire, Ana placed the skewers on the grill, Bronya sprinkled seasoning over them, and Chen Tianwu used the authority of the Herrscher of Earth to control the oil from the skewers and prevent it from splattering. (The proper application of a Herrscher's powers: For combat: ❌ For daily life: ✔️)
After resting for a while, Yeye's body regained some mobility—at least enough that he wouldn't drop the skewers. After eating for a bit, they spotted a massive object flying in the distance: the Hyperion. Then, a squad of mechs flew out from the Hyperion, and Theresa descended from above. "Where is the enemy?" "Well, Theresa, the Herrscher of Domination has already been dealt with, so there's no need to rush." "Then why did you summon me here in such a panic?" "To have a barbecue party on the Hyperion, of course." "……Honestly, I don't know what to do with you guys. Move the grill up."
Chen Tianwu used gravity manipulation to make everyone float upwards, moving the grill aboard the Hyperion. They pulled out a few chairs and sat down on the deck. There on the deck, they ate barbecue and watched the scenery along the way, enjoying the view while they ate.
When they returned to Salt Lake Base, Yeye's body had recovered to the level of an ordinary person, capable of basic activities. However, he was promptly dragged away by Einstein and Tesla, who insisted on drawing his blood to analyze its components in hopes of making some breakthrough discoveries. Though Yeye initially resisted, he currently lacked the strength to fight back, and after being successfully tied up by the two Doctors and drained of several tubes of blood, he was finally released.
Meanwhile, on Yemu's side...
