It was not only a sacred site for the imperial house to offer sacrifices to their ancestors, but also a symbol of the empire’s dignity and glory—and, more importantly, it held the Great Ancestor's Inheritance. Two hundred years had passed since the founding of the Xia State, and aside from the Grand Ancestor himself, no emperor had ever obtained that inheritance. In the present day, it had become little more than a legend.
