The next morning, word came down the mountain that three new disciples had arrived. Every year, the Immortal Mountain sent people down to select and recruit new disciples to replenish its ranks, and so the sect's strength grew day by day. This was said to be the sect's so-called expansion policy. More than a hundred years ago, the minimum requirement for admission to the Zhudi Mountain Sect was to have the Six Meridians Open Stage. Later, this was lowered to five meridians, and over the past century, the sect had taken in more and more disciples. Meanwhile, other sects still held the six-meridians standard. While other sects only took in two or three disciples a year, the Zhudi Mountain Sect could recruit eight or ten at a time.
