The sect did not encourage romantic relationships, instead promoting a quiet mind and few desires; only by dedicating oneself wholeheartedly to cultivation could one achieve anything. Therefore, the living quarters for male and female disciples were often separated to prevent them from developing feelings over time.
Horsetail Peak was inhabited exclusively by female disciples.
