In the twilight, the red bricks and green tiles of Holy Sword Manor came into view. Wuchen dismounted from the Spirit Deer while holding Weiwei, and an old man walked out from the manor. Bowing respectfully to Wuchen, the old man said, "Lord, you have arrived! The quarters have been prepared for you and the Queen. Please follow me!"
Wuchen nodded, took Weiwei by the hand to lead the way, and said to the old man as they walked, "Uncle Kun, let's head to the medicinal pool first. I need to help Weiwei activate her Spirit Root. Have the spiritual medicines I asked you to prepare ready?"
"They are ready, Lord!" Uncle Kun replied respectfully.
Soon, they arrived at the edge of the medicinal pool. The pool was steaming, emitting an exotic medicinal fragrance, and the spiritual herbs at the bottom flickered with five-colored light. Weiwei nervously gripped Wuchen's hand tighter, and Wuchen gently comforted her, "Don't be afraid, I am here."
He supported Weiwei as she slowly stepped into the medicinal pool, and the warm medicinal power instantly enveloped her body. Weiwei felt a warmth all over, as if a current of energy was roaming through her body. Wuchen formed hand seals, chanting incantations as streams of Spiritual Power poured into the medicinal pool to break the seal on Weiwei.
Suddenly, the light in the medicinal pool surged brilliantly, and Weiwei felt a sharp pain inside her body, unable to suppress a cry. Wuchen tightly embraced her and softly said, "Hold on, this is the pain you must go through to activate your Spirit Root." With that, he took a medicinal pill from his Space and fed it to Weiwei. "This is the Yuan-Solidifying Pill, which can enhance the strength and toughness of your bones."
As time passed, Weiwei's pain gradually subsided, and she felt a new power being born within her. Finally, the light slowly dissipated, and Weiwei was pleasantly surprised to discover that her Spirit Root had been successfully activated. Her body felt incomparably light, and she could feel the surrounding airflow gently surging into her body, leaving her feeling warm all over.
She excitedly threw herself into Wuchen's arms, her eyes filled with gratitude and affection. Wuchen gently stroked her hair and smiled, "From now on, you can cultivate too."
"I feel a current of air gently drilling into my body, making me feel warm, and I can see six little sprouts swaying happily in my lower dantian," Weiwei said in amazement.
Wuchen smiled and said, "That is the Spirit Root, and the airflow is Spiritual Energy. Wait, you said you have six Spirit Roots? What colors are they?" Wuchen pondered. He himself had five Spirit Roots, but could Weiwei possess the dark Spirit Root that devours all things?
Weiwei looked at her dantian again: "Gold, green, earth, blue, red, and another glowing little sprout."
Wuchen was shocked. Weiwei not only possessed the five elemental Spirit Roots of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth, but also the healing-type light Spirit Root. Cultivated to a certain height, this light Spirit Root could even bring the dead back to life and restore withered plants to vitality. Weiwei was truly his Chosen One, as well as a congenital cultivation saint.
"Brother Wuchen, what kind of Spirit Root is that glowing little sprout?" Weiwei's crisp voice rang in Wuchen's ear. Hearing her call him "brother" made Wuchen's heart ripple with emotion. His Weiwei had grown much closer to him; could it be that she liked him just a little bit?
At this thought, Wuchen could no longer suppress the smile at the corners of his lips. He gently stroked Weiwei's delicate and stunning face and said, "This is the light Spirit Root. Weiwei, you are a cultivation genius. Not only do you possess the five elemental Spirit Roots of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth, but you also have the healing-type light Spirit Root. The light Spirit Root not only has healing abilities, but when cultivated to a certain height, it can even bring the dead back to life and restore withered plants to vitality!"
"Oh, does that mean I'm very powerful?" Weiwei exclaimed. "But I don't know how to cultivate!" Weiwei furrowed her brows in distress.
Wuchen picked Weiwei up in his arms. "I will teach you how to cultivate. Let's go bathe first. Once your meridians are cleared and the impurities in your body are expelled, you'll need to wash up. Afterward, we'll go eat. Since you haven't started cultivating yet, you can't yet subsist solely on spiritual energy, so you need to eat some spiritual food to replenish your energy."
Weiwei sniffed herself and indeed found a slightly sour odor. Pulling back her sleeve, she saw a layer of grime on her skin. Her face turned red, and she said bashfully, "Then let's hurry and bathe."
Wuchen carried her to the room that had already been prepared. The room was hazy with steam, and a large bathtub was filled with clear, lightly scented water. Wuchen gently placed Weiwei by the edge of the tub and said softly, "I'll wait outside. Call me when you're done washing."
Weiwei nodded obediently. After Wuchen went out, she slowly stepped into the wooden tub. The warm water enveloped her body, and Weiwei closed her eyes contentedly, enjoying the comfortable moment.
After her bath, two pretty maidservants brought a set of gorgeous clothes and accessories. Weiwei changed into a clean outfit and came running out, skipping and hopping. Looking at the fresh and adorable Weiwei before him, Wuchen's eyes were filled with doting affection. He took Weiwei's hand and led her to the dining room.
The dining table was laden with various delicacies, and Weiwei's eyes instantly lit up. She eagerly sat down and began to feast with relish.
Seeing her eating so happily, Wuchen felt immensely satisfied himself. "This is cooked with spiritual rice, spiritual meat, and spiritual herbs, which is good for your body. Eat more." With that, he scooped a bowl of soup for her.
Weiwei took the soup and drank it down. Instantly, her belly felt warm and her entire body felt comfortable. Her eyes brightened. "Brother Wuchen, you should drink some too!" Using a white jade spoon, she fed Wuchen a mouthful of soup. Wuchen thoroughly enjoyed being fed by the one in his heart; though he wasn't hungry, he drank the soup anyway.
After the meal, Wuchen began to patiently teach Weiwei how to cultivate. Weiwei learned earnestly and progressed by leaps and bounds, and the two spent a wonderful time together in a warm and cozy atmosphere.
