In the blink of an eye, a week had passed!
"Classmates, military training ends after today. I'm very glad to have been your instructor, and I hope you will all study hard and contribute to our country!" Ye Long stood in front of the Geography Class 1 formation, filled with emotion.
"Brother Ye, let us know which day you're heading back to Kyoto! We'll treat you to a proper meal!" Qin Huai stepped out and shouted.
While other students treated military training merely as a mandatory university obligation, Qin Huai had genuinely and earnestly learned quite a bit from Ye Long! Ye Long had even taken the time to teach Qin Huai some simple combat techniques.
"Alright! If I ever retire from the service, I'll definitely come looking for you in Kyoto!" Ye Long looked at Qin Huai with a cheerful smile; he truly liked this student.
"The military training parade is about to officially begin! Will all instructors return to your formations!" The voice of the chief instructor rang out right on cue.
"Time to go, classmates! May we meet again if fate allows!" Ye Long waved goodbye to the students of Geography Class 1, then turned and walked toward the front of the sports field. With this departure, who knew if he would ever return to Kyoto again!
As one phalanx after another marched past, the life of military training finally came to a close!
"Let's go, brothers, let's go out for a big feast!" Qing Ke called out to Ye Qiuli and the other two.
"Where are you guys going to eat? Give us some recommendations!" Just as the four of them were about to set off, a sweet voice rang out.
A bespectacled girl from Geography Class 1 walked up to the four of them—or to be precise, she walked directly up to Qing Ke and asked.
Following right behind her were several other girls, all from Geography Class 1.
The girl who spoke was the monitor of Geography Class 1, Zhou Qingqing.
"Yeah, yeah! Give us some recommendations; we're from out of town and have no idea what's good to eat in Kyoto!"
"Since everyone is going out to eat anyway, why don't we all just go together?"
"Right, monitor, why doesn't our class hold a group dinner? Everyone can get to know each other so we can help each other out in the future!" The girls beside Zhou Qingqing chimed in.
"I think that's a great idea!" Zhou Qingqing nodded in approval of the suggestion.
"We have no problem with it either!" other classmates in the group replied.
The formation for Geography Class 1 hadn't actually been dismissed yet, so most of the students had heard the conversation between these girls!
"Qing Ke, since you're a local, would you mind helping everyone pick a place to eat? We can all just split the bill evenly with you, how's that?" Zhou Qingqing asked, looking at Qing Ke with a slight flush on her cheeks.
"What do you guys think?" Qing Ke asked, looking at his three good brothers beside him.
"Whatever works! A gathering sounds good, too! I love lively places."
"Me too!" Qin Huai and Li Nuo said nonchalantly.
"Ye Qiuli, what about you?"
"Ah! Sure! Whatever you guys think is best!" Seeing everyone's eyes turn toward her, Ye Qiuli quickly replied in a soft voice.
She was still somewhat worried that her appearance would frighten her classmates later, yet she didn't want to dampen everyone's enthusiasm because of herself!
*(I'll just find a corner to sit in later! At worst, I just won't eat anything and keep my mask on the whole time!)* Ye Qiuli said quietly to herself.
"Sister Jiang Ran, are we going or not?!" Xiaoxiao stood beside Jiang Ran and asked.
Everyone knew that Jiang Ran never participated in this kind of group dinner. During the summer break, a male classmate had tried to ask Jiang Ran out to dinner using a class gathering as an excuse in the high school group chat; annoyed, Jiang Ran had simply left the chat group altogether afterward!
The students of Geography Class 1 all watched Jiang Ran, eagerly awaiting her answer—especially the boys in the class. Jiang Ran's roommates were all great beauties, and even if they couldn't hook up with Jiang Ran, managing to date one of her beautiful roommates wouldn't be bad either!
"Let's go! It is about time we had a get-together!" Jiang Ran's characteristic cool, aloof voice finally uttered a sentence that carried a hint of warmth!
"Long live Sister Jiang Ran!" Xiaoxiao cheered, hugging Jiang Ran from the side.
She rather liked lively occasions, but after making friends with such an icy-cold beauty like Jiang Ran, she had been forced to miss out on many social opportunities herself! As a result, she was still single to this day, and didn't even have any guys pursuing her.
Upon seeing Jiang Ran agree, the boys were extremely excited, with quite a few of them starting to get restless. After all, at gatherings like this, once a bit of alcohol was consumed and games were played, any unfamiliar relationship could rapidly escalate!
"Then let's go to Starlight Pavilion by the east gate of Jing University! The food there is good, too. I've sent the location to the class group chat, so everyone can head over on your own!" Qing Ke posted the hotel's address into the class chat and said.
"Classmate Jiang Ran, why don't I give you a ride over? My car is parked nearby!" A relatively handsome boy from Geography Class 1 walked up to Jiang Ran and asked.
The boy came from a rather well-off family; after getting his driver's license over the summer, his family had directly bought him a Maybach!
"No need, you can give someone else a ride instead. Classmate Jiang Ran can drive herself," Xiaoxiao said, looking the boy up and down with a smile.
"You're not Classmate Jiang Ran, I was asking Classmate Jiang Ran!" the boy said with some displeasure.
"Her words are my words. Thanks for the kind offer, but I have my own car, so you needn't trouble yourself," Jiang Ran rejected him coldly, without even sparing the boy a single glance.
Having turned down the boy, Jiang Ran walked over to Ye Qiuli and asked, "Do you have a car? The east gate is pretty far from here, do you want me to give you a lift?"
The students of Geography Class 1 stared in utter disbelief at Jiang Ran and Ye Qiuli! The face of the boy who had just been rejected turned ashen in an instant!
"Ah? No... no... need, thank you! I'll... go... with my roommates!"
Ye Qiuli quickly waved her hands and declined Jiang Ran's kind offer.
"How could you not need one? Classmate Jiang Ran, you can just take Ye Qiuli with you. My car is a bit too small and won't fit everyone!" Hearing this, Qing Ke promptly pushed Ye Qiuli out from between the three of them and spoke.
With that, he grabbed Qin Huai and Li Nuo by their left and right hands respectively and bolted away at a run!
"Ah! You guys..." Ye Qiuli looked at the three sprinting figures and then at Jiang Ran beside her, freezing in place instantly. She had no idea whether she should run after them or stay right where she was!
"Ah! Sister Jiang Ran, what about me?!" Xiaoxiao, who had been smiling just a moment ago, instantly stiffened. It seemed she was about to be abandoned! Everyone knew that Jiang Ran's car was a sports car, the kind with only two seats!
"You go with them. It'll be good to have company."
"Wait for me at the intersection up ahead, I'll go get the car and pick you up," Jiang Ran first answered Xiaoxiao's question, then pointed toward an intersection at the far end of the sports field and said to Ye Qiuli.
With that, Jiang Ran walked off toward the edge of the sports field, leaving behind a dazed Ye Qiuli, an abandoned Xiaoxiao, and a crowd of bewildered onlookers from Geography Class 1!
Ye Qiuli took out her phone to check the location Qing Ke had posted in the class chat, and any thought of walking there vanished instantly! The map showed that Starlight Pavilion was nearly ten kilometers away from her current position!
Left with no choice, Ye Qiuli could only obediently walk toward the spot Jiang Ran had just pointed out.
After the principals departed, the other students of Geography Class 1 dispersed one after another.
"Young master Ye, Ye Qiuli will be going to Starlight Pavilion tonight, and Jiang Ran will be there too!"
Back at the spot, the boy who had failed to secure a ride with Jiang Ran earlier was speaking into his phone, reporting to someone on the other end.
"I know. Just let me know the room number when the time comes, and I'll drop by!"
