Chapter 40

The owner of the diary is named Adam. January 3: Adam wrote in his diary that today was the first workday of the new year, but everything went wrong. His alarm clock failed to ring, he missed the morning meeting, his shirt was stained with spilled milk during breakfast, and his car suddenly broke down before he could leave. He had to hail a cab, only to get stuck in traffic and end up a full hour late. January 5: Adam wrote in his diary that his day began with a computer crash, causing him to lose a work document he had spent hours completing. His lunch was also taken by a colleague, and his afternoon meeting was canceled. However, he wrote that despite how terrible today was, he was still grateful to have a job he loved.
