Chapter 5

The gunshots at the Valley Seaside Villa announced the death of Dopp Anthony. Dopp's final mistake had been betraying Black Gold International; from that moment on, the Anthony Family became history.
"What are we supposed to do now?" the McDougal Gang asked.
"That's simple enough. The Valley belongs to you from now on," Ariel replied.
"Thanks to the top donor for gifting us the Valley!" the McDougal Gang exclaimed.
"If you had honestly stayed out of this muddy water, perhaps you'd still be living in luxury in this villa, surrounded by security," Ariel said. "Unfortunately, there aren't that many 'ifs' in this world. Have a good dream, Mr. Dopp."
With that, Ariel crouched down, reached out, and took Dopp's token gold coin.
"Mission: The Shadow of the Anthony Family completed ahead of schedule. Reward: One clue, 500,000 Columbia coins, one AX50, 100 rounds of ammunition."
"Muse, clear the battlefield and see if there's anything good," Ariel said.
"Ariel big sis, come look at this," Muse called out.
"Hm? Found something good already?" Ariel asked.
"Holy—" Ariel started.
There Muse stood, clutching a golden lion statue. Before Ariel could finish her sentence, Muse threw her arms around Ariel and planted a kiss right on her.
After a long moment, Muse let go and said, "Ariel big sis, you promised me you wouldn't curse."
Hearing this, Ariel crouched down, smiled, and patted Muse on the head. "I'm sorry, it was big sis's fault."
"Ariel big sis, I'm not a kid anymore!" Muse protested.
"Are you really one to talk?" Lyle chimed in.
"At least I wasn't trying to flirt with Muse. Let's talk business—did you bring Randall's men over?" Ariel asked.
"They're here, eating in the kitchen right now. I honestly wonder how long they've been starving," Lyle replied.
"That's normal. The McDougal Gang didn't recognize them, and Dopp had a bounty on them. Going hungry is to be expected; managing to hold onto their little lives is already a miracle. By the way, take this back and sell it later. Muse found it, so give the money to her, but don't tell her how much it sold for," Ariel instructed.
"Muse, how about you treat your big sis to a drink tonight?" Lyle asked.
"No, I'm going to treat Ariel big sis to cake," Muse answered.
"I know a studio that specializes in custom-made dolls, you know," Lyle tempted.
"Well... alright. But Lyle big sis, you can't drink too much," Muse agreed.
"Muse, put the statue away and don't listen to her nonsense," Ariel advised.
"Hey, hey, hey, am I really that despicable in your eyes?" Lyle complained.
"I might not have thought so if I hadn't seen your room," Ariel retorted.
"That was an accident."
"An accident my foot! What? Don't tell me you wet the bed."
"What are you two talking about?" Muse asked, confused.
"Nothing, Muse. Why don't you and Jessica go check if there's anything else valuable left?" Ariel suggested.
"Okay, I know," Muse said.
After Muse had walked far enough away, Ariel looked at Lyle, her face practically spelling out speechlessness. "I'd just like to ask, couldn't you have been a bit more discreet? What kind of perverted stuff had you so worked up that you barged in without even locking the door? Good thing I didn't let Muse go in there. Her friend had just gotten hurt that day, and if she'd walked in on you acting like a ghost, heaven knows how she would have reacted."
"What do those two things even have to do with each other?" Lyle argued. "Besides, Muse's friend was just turned into a vegetable by a squad leader from the White Wolf Company, she didn't die."
