Renoir was quietly recovering from his injuries, and the number of incoming Task Force raids had visibly dwindled—at most one or two squads a day, with no more than three members in each, carrying subpar equipment that the patrols could easily dispatch.
Unusual calm always heralded trouble. Renoir knew very well that unless Columbia and Tvella had both kicked the bucket, there was no way things could remain this quiet on his end.
