Deyun: A Youth Should Aim High

A youth should have lofty ambitions, riding a fine horse across the plains. Years later, beneath a locust tree's shade, master and disciple sit together—one now old, the other grown tall and accomplished. Zhang Yunlei watches the child who once barely reached his chest, now a master with disciples of his own. "Master, why did you take me in back then?" Xie Honghu asks, pouring tea as memories flood back. In the world of traditional Chinese comedy, one question unlocks a lifetime of stories about mentorship, ambition, and the bonds that shape us.
