Chapter 1

"Hit them! Beat those filthy, low-born half-demon sisters to death! They actually dared to resist, and they even hurt the son of the great Moon Demon Count. They must be tired of living—give them a real thrashing!"
"But, sir, they are children of Lord Agares after all. Is it really a good idea for us to do this?"
"What are you afraid of? They’re just half-demon bloodlines born to lowly humans. Do you really think Lord Agares cares about them? Besides, I heard from my father that the Demon God Emperor, in order to ensure the purity of the Moon Demon Clan's bloodline, already plans to arrange a marriage for Lord Agares. When that happens, this pair of half-demon sisters—heh!"
"That’s true. Beat them!"
Upon hearing the words of the Moon Demon Count’s son, the group finally found their courage. They immediately surrounded the two sisters, and a flurry of fists fell upon the two thin, fragile bodies.
"No, please, I beg you, stop!"
Little Yueye cried, even attempting to plead for mercy, but before she could finish, her older sister pulled her underneath her own body, shielding her and taking every blow meant for her.
"Don't be afraid. Big sister will protect you!"
But at this moment, Yueye had no idea that this merciless, one-sided beating was leading her true sister toward death, and that these words would be the last her sister ever spoke to her.
Following this came the half-demon, Anlan.
"Hiss—damn it, who dares hit me! It hurts!"
The violent half-demon Anlan let out a sharp cry of pain. Immediately after, her half-closed eyes snapped open, and almost instinctively, the hands she had been using to cover her head launched a counterattack, landing a direct punch that sent the person looming over her flying.
"Ah—"
A scream followed as the boy was knocked back, colliding with several others and successfully stunning the group of aggressors.
"You—you! How dare you, you lowly half-demon, you actually dare to fight back?"
"If I don't fight back, should I just sit here and let you beat me to death?"
Yue Anlan replied instinctively, only to realize something was wrong.
*Huh? Something isn't right. Why are my fists so small? Hey, why have I shrunk? And where is this place? Didn't I die from the lightning tribulation? Why am I here? No, this isn't my body. My body isn't this weak!*
Anlan was dumbfounded and muttered to herself. She had thought she died before her ascension tribulation, but not only was she alive, she had been put into a different body?
Anlan was completely bewildered, but the troublemakers were not.
"Fine! It seems she still hasn't learned her lesson. Get her! Show her what I'm made of!"
"Yes!"
"Sister, they're coming again. I'm scared."
Seeing the group of bullies charging toward them again, Yueye’s eyes widened in terror. She immediately hid behind Anlan, her small hands gripping Anlan's clothes so tightly that Anlan could barely move.
*This little sister of mine has quite the grip!*
Anlan didn't realize yet that the little Yueye before her was anything but ordinary; she simply sighed and clenched her fists.
"Come then, you think I’m afraid of you?"
Just then, Yueye let go of her hands. Freed from the constraint, Anlan was ready to move.
*Although I don't know how I ended up like this, and I don't know whose body this is—it’s pathetically weak—it’s still more than enough to deal with you little brats!*
With that thought, Anlan charged.
She met the seventeen Moon Demon brats without a hint of fear, but to any onlooker, such bravery looked like sheer stupidity. It was a death wish.
The aggressors all wore the same cruel, mocking smiles.
Seeing this, Yueye’s eyes flickered. Taking advantage of the moment Anlan drew their attention, she snuck away.
*I—I’m not running away out of fear. Yes, I’m just, just going to get help...*
Yueye didn't dare stop, terrified that if she did, she would meet the same fate as her sister. She didn't even look back.
"Hahahaha, you pathetic half-demon! How sad! The beloved little sister you were so desperate to protect has abandoned you too. Now it’s just you left. If you had known it would come to this, you should have just submitted to me! A lowly half-demon like you is only good for your looks and for bearing children, hahahaha—"
"What did you say?!"
Hearing the young demon brat spew such filth, a surge of immense fury welled up in Anlan’s chest. In that moment, the half-demon Anlan and the half-demon Yue Anlan felt as one.
As fellow hybrids who had endured the same plight, Anlan didn't even need to wonder how this pair of sisters had offended this group of demon brats.
"Sure enough, no matter when or where, you lot who boast of your 'noble' bloodlines are always just as disgusting! Fine. Today, I am going to teach you a lesson on behalf of Yue Anlan!"
"How arrogant! Get her!"
The son of the Moon Demon Count led his underlings toward Anlan, surrounding her tightly before launching a collective assault.
Anlan did not back down. She clenched her fists and began to strike back at those surrounding her.
Initially, as a half-demon who possessed more human blood than demon, she was no match for them. In the Demon Realm, power was dictated by the nobility of one's bloodline, especially when it came to Moon Demons, who could become Counts—their lineage was far beyond hers.
If it had been the real Yue Anlan, she would have been crushed. But the one in this body was the half-demon Anlan!
The ancient soul who had lived for thousands of years, the one who, in her own world, had nearly ascended while trapped in a half-demon body! And so—
As a monster who had lived for eons, her combat experience alone was enough to crush them.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
"Ah—"
A chorus of screams rang out across the area. By the time Agares arrived, he saw only a little girl, covered in blood and radiating endless killing intent, standing before a group of Moon Demon children who were lying on the ground, dead or incapacitated. Her presence was astonishing.
"Interesting! To fight seventeen alone and win."
Agares, powerful and devastatingly handsome, felt the slight worry he had initially harbored vanish, replaced by growing amusement. Just as the panting Anlan was preparing to rest and examine this frail, pathetic body, she realized she could no longer move.
Her body, no longer under her own control, flew in a certain direction.
"Who?!"
Anlan’s expression turned fierce once more, and her fists reacted reflexively, striking out with all their might toward the source of the force.
"Thud!"
"Heh~"
The result was obvious. How could an eight-year-old half-demon with meager spiritual power possibly shake the Second Demon God, the Moon Demon God Agares?
Anlan’s punch didn't even graze the corner of Agares's clothes, and after a soft chuckle from him, her fists were bound tightly by his lunar magic.
This terrified Yueye, who was watching from the side. *How could Big Sister be so rude to Father? It’s over!*
Yueye’s small body trembled, and she even felt a glimmer of resentment toward her sister.
She immediately dropped to her knees, preparing to beg for mercy, unaware that Agares felt more delight than anger.
It was then that Anlan, relying on the original memories of Yue Anlan, recognized who he was. Her entire aura instantly dissipated.
"Father... Lord?"
