Jin Moyan was startled at first, then covered her mouth and chuckled.
Even Bai Youxia's face lost much of its anger, replaced by a subtle blush.
"You're so funny, Junior. Coming over first thing in the morning just to tell us cold jokes."
As Jin Moyan spoke, she mimicked an angry gorilla, pounding her own chest.
Ling Chen smiled, looked at Bai Youxia, and said, "Senior Youxia, don't pound yours. They're so big, you might pop them if you're not careful."
[Rage Points +10]
"Go die!" Bai Youxia hurled the book in her hand right at him.
"Whoa! Brother Chen, it really is you!"
Suddenly, a shout came from behind.
Sun Shuaishuai wiped away his tears and walked over with a pleasantly surprised expression, patting Ling Chen on the shoulder. "Even though you've turned into a savage, I recognized your back right away. Pretty good friend, right?"
Ling Chen gritted his teeth.
Thinking back to how this little bastard had acted as a troll shitting on him online, anger surged within him.
"Little Shuaishuai, why are you crying?"
Seeing his swollen, red eyes, Jin Moyan couldn't help asking.
As the number one simper at Haicheng University, Sun Shuaishuai was quite famous, having fawned over many upperclasswomen.
"Sigh, I got dumped..."
This immediately struck a raw nerve for Sun Shuaishuai, and tears burst from his eyes again.
"How about introducing me to someone else, Senior? I'll give you a finder's fee."
Jin Moyan and Bai Youxia were rendered speechless, marveling inwardly at how thick-skinned Sun Shuaishuai was.
Even Ling Chen couldn't help his mouth twitching—he hadn't expected this guy's face to get even thicker.
He patted Sun Shuaishuai on the shoulder.
With utmost seriousness, he said, "Your personality is terrible, your mouth isn't sweet, you're ugly as sin, and you've got no money. If you don't get dumped, who will?"
Sun Shuaishuai flew into a rage.
Raising his voice in aggrieved protest, he said, "Ling Chen! How could you say that about your buddy?!"
Ling Chen knew the little bastard had done it on purpose.
Sure enough.
The moment his name was shouted out, the surrounding students instantly stopped in their tracks and froze in their actions, all turning their heads to stare over at once.
"Holy crap! It's really Ling Chen?"
"Well aren't you brave, Ling Chen! You actually dare to come back—let me beat you to death!"
"Strip him naked and parade him through the streets!"
Seniors of all years rushed over, rolling up their sleeves as if ready to beat him up at the slightest disagreement.
Because of the trouble Ling Chen had caused, they had been ruthlessly mocked during this period. Wherever they went, they met strange, mocking glances.
It left them unable to hold their heads high, not even daring to step outside the university gates.
"Serves him right," Bai Youxia said, standing by to watch the drama unfold.
Jin Moyan wanted to speak up and mediate, but her voice was drowned out by the angry clamor as soon as she opened her mouth, so she gave up.
Sun Shuaishuai had already taken the opportunity to slip away.
"Calm down... seniors, you have to stay calm..."
Ling Chen held his hands out in front of him, trying to soothe the crowd as he slowly backed away.
"Calm down my foot! Because of you, my dream guy broke up with me!" A female student's face turned red with anger.
Ling Chen was speechless.
*How the hell can you blame me for that? Isn't it just because you're a bit ugly yourself...*
"Don't get excited, everyone. Tomorrow I'll carry us all to victory and beat Shaohua University into the dust."
[Rage Points +200]
If he hadn't spoken, it might have been fine, but saying that only stoked the flames in everyone's hearts even higher.
"Carry us my ass! With your B-grade talent and Awakening Realm Third Stage?"
"If Senior Mingxuan hadn't salvaged half our dignity, we would've almost forfeited outright!"
"Argh! I can't take it anymore!"
An upperclassman bellowed, quickly chanting an incantation, and several small fireballs launched toward Ling Chen.
Ling Chen had no desire to fight them. Just as he was about to activate "Slip Away", a sudden gust of wild wind blew past, extinguishing all the fireballs.
"All of you, stop!"
A stern voice echoed, making everyone instantly straighten their backs and turn around to look.
The Dean of Discipline, Qin Muwan, walked over with elegant strides.
She wore an exquisite professional office outfit, exuding efficiency and grace.
The slim-fit black blazer was tailored perfectly, outlining her slender waist.
Underneath, her white shirt was slightly unbuttoned at the collar, revealing a long, elegant neck and an alluring hint of cleavage.
Her black pencil skirt was just the right length, highlighting her long, shapely legs in a particularly eye-catching way.
Her entire persona radiated a mature, intellectual charm.
Many male students' eyes lit up, but not daring to look directly, they awkwardly turned their heads away.
"Ling Chen, come with me!"
Qin Muwan beckoned from across the way before turning to leave.
Ling Chen smiled smugly. "See that? Your junior has someone backing him!"
With that, humming a little tune, he waltzed right through the crowd and swaggered behind Qin Muwan.

Everyone gritted their teeth, feeling immensely aggrieved and furious.
Not only had they failed to vent their anger, but they had also ended up getting mocked instead.
"He... really is a bit of a jerk, huh..." Jin Moyan muttered quietly, a look of embarrassment on her face.
"That's normal. That bastard has always been like this. You'll get used to it," Bai Youxia said, shaking her head helplessly.
"Do you think Ling Chen will take part in tomorrow's tournament? If he actually dares to go, he'll definitely get crushed by Shaohua University..." Jin Moyan asked curiously.
"I hope he goes and gets thoroughly thrashed. We shouldn't be the ones taking all the ridicule while he walks away unscathed," Bai Youxia replied.

At the university entrance, Ling Chen got into Qin Muwan's hovering sports car.
Vehicles like this were extremely expensive, usually only affordable by prominent families. Gu Mingxuan owned several, making him the envy of many.
Its perk wasn't just oozing prestige; it could fly in the sky, solving the trouble for those who hadn't reached the Void-Breaking Realm.
"Director, where are you taking me? You're not gonna sell me out, are you?"
"If you do, at least sell me to some rich woman. I don't want to go to some small Southeast Asian country and get my kidneys harvested."
"Director, why aren't you saying anything? You're making me even more scared..."
"Actually, even though I'm a bit mischievous..."
[Anger Points +5]
"Shut up!" Qin Muwan couldn't take it anymore.
"I'm taking you to get a haircut and buy clothes. Look at yourself—what kind of state are you in?" she said.
Hearing this, a wave of warmth surged in Ling Chen's heart.
He couldn't help exclaiming, "Director, you treat me better than my own mother! How about I become your godson?"
[Anger Points +2]
"Am I really that old?" Qin Muwan turned her head, her tone filled with resentment.
Although she was the Dean of Discipline at Haicheng University, she was only twenty-five years old, having been pushed into the position by her family.
Besides, she was extremely confident in her appearance and didn't look like an auntie by any stretch of the imagination.
"Not old at all! You look like an eighteen-year-old girl, Director. How about you become my god-sister instead?" Ling Chen said shamelessly.
Qin Muwan sighed. "Forget it. I'd like to live a few years longer. Becoming your god-sister would only get me angered to death."
After saying that, she thought it over and felt she might have spoken a bit too harshly.
So, she added half-jokingly, "However... if you can get a good result in the upcoming competition and don't make us look too embarrassed, I'll be your sister. How about that?"
