But could the Blood Sea actually assimilate a God-grade Martial Soul like the Silver Dragon Battle Spear?
Chu Fei caught Na'er as she emerged from the Blood Sea and pondered, looking at the Snow Dragon Battle Spear in her hand. It seemed he had underestimated the assimilation ability of his Blood Sea; it was far more powerful than he had imagined. Given such potency, a new plan took shape in Chu Fei’s mind.
In the Douluo Continent, personal strength was certainly important, but to truly carve out a territory of one’s own, one had to possess a force of their own. And within any such force, powerful individuals were the most critical component. On the Douluo Continent, those who could awaken Soul Power were already a minority, and those possessing powerful Martial Souls were rarer still. That was why only a select few could ever reach the summit, but the Blood Sea was different. After being assimilated by the Blood Sea, a Martial Soul underwent a qualitative transformation.
With the Blood Sea at his disposal, Chu Fei could cultivate powerful individuals in a constant, endless stream. If he could find children with excellent innate talent, pair them with special treasures, and then subject them to the Blood Sea's assimilation, it was entirely possible to forge God-grade Martial Souls and physiques. These prodigies, blessed with extraordinary constitutions and Martial Souls, would be able to start their first Soul Ring at a thousand-year level. As they grew, each one would inevitably become a monstrous talent. By then, he would have no reason to fear top-tier powers like Spirit Hall.
Chu Fei rubbed his chin and sighed inwardly. Spirit Hall was indeed an obstacle he had to overcome. Before he had transmigrated, he held no real malice toward Spirit Hall; it was just another continental force, and everyone had their own way of surviving. What Spirit Hall did was none of his business. But things were different now. He had absorbed Tu Ya's Soul Ring and Soul Bone, and he had disrupted Spirit Hall’s soul-hunting plan, throwing their entire operation into chaos.
Chu Fei was now aligned with Tu Ya and the two great beasts of the Star Dou Great Forest. Bibi Dong would never let go of the man who had stolen her Soul Ring and ruined her plans. Furthermore, if Bibi Dong learned that Tu Ya was still alive, or that Xiao Wu had survived, she would undoubtedly return to finish the job. From the moment he was first crushed into a pool of blood by Bibi Dong, Chu Fei was destined to stand in opposition to Spirit Hall. Whether for revenge or self-preservation, he would need sufficient strength in the future.
Thinking of this, Chu Fei turned his head to glance at the Blood Tiger, who was playfully batting at some cat-tail grass, and Tu Ya, who was gently and softly looking after the two children. With Tu Ya, a Titled Douluo, and the two Spirit Saints, Blood Spider and Blood Tiger, he already had the foundation to establish a sect. Once he founded the Blood Sea Pavilion and the Blood Sea Academy, he could have Tu Ya use her current status to serve as the Pavilion Master and Dean, with Blood Tiger and Blood Spider as Vice Deans. By recruiting students and cultivating them on a large scale, he could absorb the best among them into the Blood Sea Pavilion. In this way, a constant stream of fresh blood would enter his ranks, allowing him to build a vast power base.
Such an organization could not be built just anywhere. After careful consideration, Chu Fei set his sights on Tiantou City. In the current era, Titled Douluo were rare treasures. The Heaven Dou Empire was more inclusive, showing little resistance toward foreign Titled Douluo, making it an ideal starting point.
No sooner said than done, Chu Fei concluded his training for the day and explained the purpose of this trip to Tiantou City to Tu Ya. As for Blood Spider and Blood Tiger, there was no point in telling them; they wouldn't understand anyway. Tu Ya had no objections. It was not the first time she had longed for human society; this journey would not only allow her to see a broader world but also help Chu Fei establish his own forces. At that point, she or even Xiao Wu would have a place of refuge. Tu Ya fully supported this plan.
The group traveled with great haste, and a few days later, they arrived in Tiantou City. A cold and elegant woman draped in a crimson robe drew all eyes as she walked down the street.
Tu Ya suppressed her inner excitement as she arrived at the academy registration office. According to the current procedures in Tiantou, this was only the first step. The bustling hall grew quiet at the arrival of the cold-faced Tu Ya. The clerk, Ye Wei, snapped out of her daze as Tu Ya approached, stuttering in the face of the aura naturally radiating from her: "I am the clerk, Ye Wei. G-greetings!"
"Is there anything I can help you with?"
"Registering an academy," Tu Ya said. "Blood Sea Academy."
She tapped her fingertips on the counter, speaking concisely as if signaling for Ye Wei to hurry up.
"Academy registration requires meeting the Soul Power standards. May I ask..." Ye Wei asked timidly. But after seeing the nine Soul Rings behind Tu Ya, she fell silent. The hall erupted in whispers. Nine rings—a Titled Douluo! And one with a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Ring at that!
"I'll go get the supervisor!" Ye Wei scurried away in a panic.
A moment later, the supervisor arrived, wiping sweat from his forehead. He held a token in his hand and smiled ingratiatingly: "My apologies for the wait, Honorable Titled Douluo. Ye Wei is new and did not know how to receive you properly."
"Your academy is successfully registered. You may choose a site in Tiantou City to post your sign and build the academy. Furthermore, the Heaven Dou Empire will gift you the registration capital to facilitate your development."
He was joking; a Titled Douluo was a treasure wherever they went. Having one come to the Heaven Dou Empire to open an academy and teach was a cause for great celebration!
Tu Ya merely nodded briefly, uttered a single "Mn," and turned to leave. She truly struggled with what to say. Though she had lived for a long time, the interactions she had seen in human society over the past few days left her exhausted. The only person she could talk to without pressure was Chu Fei.
Soon, Tu Ya returned to Chu Fei with the funds. Chu Fei sent Blood Tiger and Blood Spider ahead to select a site for the academy and begin construction. With the vast space within the imperial city, choosing a location was a true test of one's judgment. He then took Tu Ya to another place.
To build an academy, one needed a first batch of disciples, and they wouldn't just fall from the sky. For this, Tu Ya would have to take the lead.
Tianshui Academy.
In the Dean's office on the top floor, Dean Liu Ruyan sat in a white cheongsam, her blue hair cascading like a waterfall to her waist. She sipped tea as she looked at Tu Ya and Chu Fei.
"You are saying you wish to take the sisters Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er as your disciples?"
Tu Ya nodded. Seeing that Liu Ruyan was still hesitant, she said nothing, simply revealing her nine Soul Rings. Chu Fei had told her that when in doubt, just show the rings—it could solve at least ninety percent of one's troubles. As expected, Liu Ruyan, who had been hesitating, agreed immediately upon seeing the rings.
"Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er are both quite gifted. The elder sister had 10 levels of Soul Power at age seven, and the younger sister had 7 levels at age six."
"Come here, and greet your master."
Tianshui Academy had no Titled Douluo. Being able to have the sisters apprentice under one would be of immense benefit to their future.
