"It was a guess, but now I know for sure!" Long Jian said lightly.
"Your surname is Zhu. Could it be that you are from the Zhu family of Star Luo?"
Zhu Zhuqing looked startled. After a flicker of complex emotions in her eyes, she nodded. "I didn't expect you to guess even that."
"I didn't expect you to admit it so easily, either," Long Jian said, the corner of his mouth curling upward.
A faint flush crept across Zhu Zhuqing's cold, porcelain face, and she looked slightly embarrassed.
Long Jian turned, climbed back onto his Dragon Battle Flash Chariot, and looked back. "You need treatment! Get on!"
Zhu Zhuqing glanced at the wounds on her body, then obediently sat behind Long Jian. She instinctively wrapped her arms around his waist. She didn't want to repeat the embarrassing scene of nearly being flung off again. But that previous incident had been a result of Long Jian acting in the heat of the moment.
With no pursuers this time, he started the Dragon Battle Flash Chariot steadily.
Seeing this, Zhu Zhuqing sighed in relief, and her hands loosened their grip, resting gently against his waist.
"Direct me; I don't know the way."
Hearing Long Jian's words, Zhu Zhuqing was stunned for a moment before realizing what he meant. She nodded. "Oh, right!"
Long Jian watched the direction in which Zhu Zhuqing was pointing, and the Dragon Battle Flash Chariot accelerated sharply.
Zhu Zhuqing nearly fell off again, but fortunately, she had been prepared. By now, she was clinging tightly to Long Jian, and her voluminous bosom was pressed firmly against his back once more.
...
Soto City.
Inside a luxurious hotel, Zhu Zhuqing took out a bag of Gold Soul Coins and spoke softly to the male receptionist, "Two rooms!"
The receptionist first glanced at the money bag offered to him, then looked at both Zhu Zhuqing and Long Jian. Seeing Zhu Zhuqing's explosive, almost superhuman body proportions, the receptionist cast a look of envy at Long Jian. Not only was he handsome, but his female companion was also such a rare beauty. Even more enviable was that the woman was the one paying for the room. That made it even more frustrating.
However, if a couple comes to check in, isn't it a bit odd to ask for two rooms?
Upholding his professional standards, the receptionist said with a serious expression, "I apologize, Miss, but our hotel only has one room left."
Zhu Zhuqing frowned upon hearing this.
Long Jian raised an eyebrow. He had some memory of this plot point. But wasn't that supposed to be at the Rose Hotel? And involving the main character, Tang San, and Dai Mubai! The hotel he was currently in was not the Rose Hotel; it was just an ordinary establishment.
"You stay here, I'll go to another place," Long Jian said indifferently, then turned to leave.
Zhu Zhuqing was a decent person, but Long Jian wasn't the type to lose his head over a woman. As for the fact that he didn't have any of this world’s currency, he was sure some kind soul would provide it eventually.
Zhu Zhuqing felt a warmth in her heart seeing Long Jian leave without hesitation once he heard there was only one room left. But feeling guilty, she quickly chased after him. Long Jian had just saved her life, and she hadn't yet properly thanked him.
The receptionist watched as the two left one after another, completely baffled.
Long Jian hadn't gone far from the hotel when he heard familiar, crisp footsteps approaching rapidly. He turned to see it was Zhu Zhuqing, and asked with some confusion, "Why did you follow me?"
"You saved my life. If you just left like this, I wouldn't be able to live with myself," Zhu Zhuqing said, head bowed.
"Don't worry about what happened earlier; it was just a small favor," Long Jian shook his head and turned to look for a place to stay.
Zhu Zhuqing followed him closely. "Perhaps it's because it's the academy's recruitment season that all these hotels are full. Let me invite you to a larger hotel! There should be extra rooms there!"
Long Jian's expression flickered, feeling helpless. With you around, every hotel in this place will only have one room left!
However, he didn't say anything more. If Zhu Zhuqing wanted to follow, so be it.
Before long, Zhu Zhuqing saw a rose-red hotel ahead. Above the entrance was a landmark sign of a giant red rose, and the four gilded characters "Rose Hotel" shimmered in the reflection of the balcony.
"Long Jian, let's try that hotel ahead. Surely they will have extra rooms!" Zhu Zhuqing said softly.
Long Jian looked in the direction she was pointing.
"Rose Hotel..."
Long Jian was speechless. He turned to stare at Zhu Zhuqing. "I have a feeling that hotel will only have one room left too, so we should probably look elsewhere."
"Huh?" Zhu Zhuqing asked, quite perplexed. "We haven't even checked yet! Maybe there will be extra!"
"Let's go."
Seeing her insistence, Long Jian shook his head to himself. Then he couldn't help but think, "I wonder if I'm going to run into Tang San, Xiao Wu, and Dai Mubai soon?"
In a blink, Zhu Zhuqing walked into the Rose Hotel, with Long Jian following behind. Although it was difficult to find a place to stay with her, he didn't need to worry about the money.
But as soon as Zhu Zhuqing entered the hotel, she was shocked by the scene inside.
Long Jian looked at the sight in front of him with surprise. Is my luck really that good?
Inside the hotel, a young man with a plain appearance and short, deep blue hair was controlling giant vines to battle a handsome, tall young man with golden, curly hair.
Not far away stood a beautiful girl wearing a small pink outfit, with a youthful face and a pair of long, slender legs, watching the fight.
"Tang San, Xiao Wu, Dai Mubai, Zhu Zhuqing..."
"I didn't expect to see all four of them at once!"
Xiao Wu also noticed Long Jian and Zhu Zhuqing walking in. Seeing Zhu Zhuqing's exaggerated, fiery figure, Xiao Wu gasped, her pink eyes suddenly narrowing. She was also slightly surprised to see Long Jian's handsome face.
Suddenly, Xiao Wu noticed a dark shadow retreat toward her side. Looking up, she saw it was Tang San, who had been pushed back by Dai Mubai using his third Soul Skill.
"San, are you alright?" Xiao Wu stepped forward, her face full of concern.
"I'm fine," Tang San shook his head, his expression grim. "I didn't expect the gap to be so large just because he has one more Spirit Ring!"
Secretly, Tang San's hand inadvertently dropped to his waist. "If it really comes to it, it looks like I'll have to reveal my hidden weapons."
But just as Tang San was preparing to risk everything with his hidden weapons, Dai Mubai deactivated his Spirit possession, revealing his original appearance.
"Your strength is not bad! It’s rare to be able to cultivate Blue Silver Grass to this level! I’ll let you have that room! I assume you’re here to sign up for Shrek Academy? Once you get to Shrek Academy, if anything happens, just mention the name Dai Mubai!"
Dai Mubai said with a smile, then walked to the side, arming two scantily-clad older sisters as he headed toward the door.
Zhu Zhuqing, who had been standing at the entrance, turned pale with shock upon hearing the name "Dai Mubai." Her already cold expression became even icier.
Long Jian, standing nearby, found it quite amusing. He had to admit, Dai Mubai was quite lucky to be holding two twin sisters in his arms.
Dai Mubai noticed Zhu Zhuqing and Long Jian at the entrance. When he saw Zhu Zhuqing, his eyes lit up, flashing with a lecherous glint.
