Midnight in the polar night. Caesar stood alone by the ship's railing, holding an unlit cigar. His icy blue eyes seemed veiled in mist, obscuring their azure depth. "Caesar," a soft, rhythmic footstep sounded. Heide walked over, stopping beside Caesar to lean on the rail. "What are you thinking about?" "Nothing," Caesar replied. In truth, there was plenty he could be thinking about: Odin, Leviathan, Abbas, Lu Mingfei, Heide, Gullveig... Yet he didn't feel like dwelling on any of it. Besides, he felt no particular fondness for Heide; the only thing that even remotely piqued his interest was that Heide hailed from Gullveig's family. But he wasn't some naive child who could be reeled in with candy, nor would he trust someone unconditionally simply because they shared the Gullveig surname.
