A massive, headless corpse hung suspended in mid-air. Strange, eerie necrotic energy radiated from within it—a force so formidable that even some of the Fifth-Stage Monarchs present felt a tremor of fear.
The Three-Star Monarch, leading the group, came to a sudden halt upon seeing the body. He scanned the surroundings closely, but there was nothing unusual about the environment; only the corpse seemed out of place.
"This is a Ninth-Stage Monarch," one of the monarchs remarked. "Who could have killed him?"
