"Taishang" (the Supreme) means forgetting emotions; only by forgetting the seven emotions can one become desireless and reach the ultimate state of perfection.
Once the seven emotions are forgotten, one must gradually recover them. Only after they are recovered can one be considered a true living being; otherwise, one is merely a soulless puppet, which contradicts the very purpose of cultivation. Jiang Chen had perused many texts on the "Taishang" philosophy. In his understanding, this so-called "forgetting of emotions" was not a literal erasure, but rather a specific state of mind. As for what that state truly entailed, he remained uncertain, as he had yet to reach that realm; he would only truly understand it once he had stepped inside.
Xuanling looked at Jiang Chen and said with a smile, "With your strength, you should be able to enter the seventh level of the Holy Land. It might be a bit of a stretch, but your physical body is incredibly powerful, and you should be able to withstand the spatial pressure within that layer."
